Metra 95-7510 Double DIN Installation Kit for 2004-2008 Mazda RX-8 Vehicles,Black

So I have a spanish RX8, 2003 model, and I was a little scared that it wouldn't work, since the kit is advertised as for 2004-2009 cars, but it worked great. All the controls work, mine has the AUTO climate control button, and it works well. The cool thing is that the wiring loom came all wrapped with anti-heat insulator. The radio I've installed is a XOMAX android head unit, and from what I've read on forums, the most of EU radios wouldn't fit, but this one did, and it fits great. The audio sounds better and louder than the stock radio, BOSE system works great with the kit. One "bad" thing that I could say is that the climate controls feel slower than stock, but after all, when it's hot you just rush to turn it on full blast, and so you do in winter with the heat, so I have 0 complains at all, maybe 1 more, which comes covered by Metra aswell, and that's the steering volume controls, but the other kit is very unexpensive so I'll be getting that one aswell.Overall, the product works great, and the shipping was very fast, in fact, it would've been faster if I answered the phone, because it was in Spain like 2 days after buying the kit.

Very good kit and straight forward installation. Cable for the dash display was not included, unfortunately. Would be a five star product if the cable were included. All other stock functionality is present. Final install fits great.

Extremely easy to install, instructions are very detailed with pictures to help. Disregard other reviews that say cutting is required, or the kit is outdated. The kit is up to date, and everything can easily be made to fit behind the headunit.

I purchased this dash kit to install my aftermarket double din in my 2004 RX-8. When I got the kit, I immediately did a test fit to find out that the opening was too small to fir the Power Acoustics PD-769NB. I trimmed the opening out and I managed to get it to fit. You do have to cut the top ears off of your A/C control panel if installing a double din unit. I recommend reading the manual on Metra's website for more details before purchasing. I am rating it 3 stars for the fact that I had to massage the opening.

At first I thought it'd look weird with the matte black but it looks very nice and fits in very well with the rest of the dash. The new audio unit looks like it belongs. It's got all the available connections for the new unit and the existing controls.

Noticed the black and red wire on harness was damaged so I tried to fix it but I couldn't because it was damaged to close to the part you clip in at first I thought it was mother board but they are sending another but I may not open it and send back because after doing some research if you have a stick shift Rx8 like me the Rx8 owners on the forums and Google say that it only works for an automatic Rx8...

Very good product including instructions and all the things needed to still have functional a/c, display, hazard lights.

It needs a millimeter or 2 wider curve and the white clips do not hold. I have to keep pulling it of to attach the clips. I have done it so many times I lost one in my dash somewhere.

Product doesn't work in the UK. It looses controls of the heater controls. Is for USA market only NOT the UK. Missold by seller as says does work and retain all functionaIity. I've messaged seller and seller is not interested at all. I called Amazon and they are apologetic but as is a secondary seller they can't get involved with this scam/ misselling. Poor seller and avoid in my experience.

Ac controls didn't work

I installed it's a loose fit on my rx8 ... One clip was broken ... Very hard to find spot for this big box for Ac controls ... You can't control the vehicle clock and Ac read out on the red strip .... And during calls and music you hear hissing and static ... Very poor quality and most of all no one to contact unfortunately I can't rip it out and send it back as I'd be with out anything in the car ....I would not recommend this kit ...and I lost all steering wheel controls.

Only got half the kit and no one messaged me back. So I spent money on something I cant use
