Titanium 3-Piece Cutlery Set

Lovely titanium cutlery set. Super light, extremely well constructed, much like everything I've tried from Toaks. Having the polished bowls is especially nice; I've been using another vendor that comes in the standard bead-blasted titanium, which doesn't bother me; the polished finish is much better, especially for washing and ensuring it is clean. I use this when I pack hot lunches for the office. This set is slightly longer than other sets of portable silverware I've used, but also feels lighter in the hand. No issues with bindability, and a great shape for the spoon, especially. The included carabiner is a very nice touch - the other titanium set I've used for a while has a very beautiful brass screw holding it together, which is both a little fiddly, and easy to misplace since it breaks apart into two bits.

My first foray into titanium for backpacking gear. I have resisted the trend on titanium cookware so far but a full set of well made cutlery seemed well worth the investment. I bought the TOAKS Titanium 3-Piece Cutlery Set to replace a heavy, stainless steel fork/spoon combo called the "Hungry Camper" and was not disappointed. I have used my Hungry Camper since the early 90's (so long that I originally ordered it via snail mail from an advertisement in the back of Backpacker Magazine . . . back in the days before the Web and e-commerce). I used to extol the virtues of the Hungry Camper to anyone who would listen but the TOAKS set has won me over. Oh the pleasure of being able to have both a fork and a knife in separate hands at the same time! And to have a real fork with real tines that can actually stab at food with precision! Anyway, I purchased the TOAKS set for a trip to the Bridger Wilderness in WY back in August and it served me well. It was lighter than my old Hungry Camper while providing significantly more utility. The fork, spoon, and knife are sufficiently strong and adequately stiff . . . bendable but not without really trying. I should note that my travel partner brought a cheap plastic backpacking spork and admitted at the end of the trip (after enough celebratory & medicinal beers) that he was envious of my TOAKS cutlery set (I might have him sent him a set for x-mas as a surprise). My only small complaint is with the tiny, D-ring carabiner that comes with the set. The carabiner works well at keeping the set together but its shape causes the individual pieces to bind a little on it when attached. Not a big deal but using an oval shape for the carabiner instead would eliminate the binding. Despite that little issue, I did find that keeping the set together made fishing them out from my cluttered bag a little easier. I had considered leaving the carabiner behind on the WY trip but was later glad that I didn't.

I live in Alaska and this lightweight and perfect for camping. I filed the knife into and actual blade and its super legit. If you're buying these, go ahead and buy the long handle spoon too for the freeze dried meals and you won't get your fingers dirty from the bag. I store all my utensils in a Crown Royal bag in my pack. You won't be disappointed in this purchase.

I wanted titanium utensils for everyday use since I developed a nickel allergy. Since this type of metal is a bit of a niche product, I also preferred a US company (seemingly more reliable or at least hopefully more accountable for their products) than one of the million random unkown ones selling on amazon. All of that is difficult enough to find but, additionally, I found polished titanium flatware isn't common, either. I tried the non-polished texture most camping titanium utensils have and it is very unpleasant --- doesn't seem that rough to the fingertips but eating from them is like licking peach fuzz or cat tongues :p These utensils are wonderfully light but strong. Also this thinner rounded handle shape is very comfortable vs the usual square edge shape that widens toward the top. For a wish list I hope someday this company branches out to make traditional 3D titanium utensils e..g., oneida style etc. and kitchenware like collanders and steamer baskets etc.

I like the light weight and quality materials, great value.

これは口に入る部分がポリッシュしてあるので、口当たりがよく食べ物がおいしく感じます。ちなみに、ナイフを除いた二本セットがモンベルのOEMで売っていますので、ナイフが不要な方はモンベルで買うと良いです。

Muy ligeros pero delgados. Se sienten frágiles pero son muy resistentes. Lo único que no me agrado fue que los compré para acampar y es que hacen más bulto de lo que aparentan cuando los juntas

Excellent UL Ti cutlery set. Some have criticised this set for being a bit flimsy.. it's UL titanium so treat it as such and it will serve you well. If you want tough, buy stainless steel and carry the weight! Good work on this Toaks!
