Our family loves bread, and we buy fresh bread and sometimes make homemade bread. The challenge has been to keep our bread fresh longer -- slow down the hardening and molding process. We bought these linen bread bags to help keep our breads fresh. After they arrived we decided to test the bags.We bought two loaves of the same italian bakery bread. Note: the two loaves were baked on same date. We used one of these bags to store one loaf and then a standard plastic bag for the other loaf. When having bread we used both loaves equally. What we found was that the loaf stored in the linen bread bag stayed fresh about 2 days longer than the loaf stored in the plastic bag. Not only was the loaf stored in the linen "fresher" (noticeable 3 days after the purchase), but these will save us money in the long run by not having to throw away hard/molded bread (so wasteful).About 2 years ago we found out our youngest daughter had celiac disease. And, of course she was our biggest bread eater in the household! We have found many excellent tasting gluten-free breads. GF breads though are significantly more expensive, so its super important to keep the GF breads fresh. We have fond these bags do a better job with the GF breads than plastic bags, and this is great for the wallet!These bags are well made, can be washed, and have been very durable thus far. Using these bread bags is also a greener way to store your bread. As an added bonus they have a great vintage look

The bags seem well constructed and I didn't see any loose stitches or tears as some have said previously. I ran them through the laundry before use and tried them out with a crusty boule and a loaf of half whole wheat sandwich bread. The bag worked great for the boule. It kept the crust crunchy while keeping the crumb soft inside. I wouldn't recommend this type of storage for sandwich bread, however. My kids prefer a soft crust with their sandwiches and the linen bags tend to make it too crunchy for them after a day or two.Besides bread we've found they work great as a plastic bag alternative for fruit or similar items.

These items arrived with tons of threads hanging off the seem. Too poorly made to use. Sent them back.

I always wanted to have a bread bag in my kitchen just like there was one in my mother's kitchen growing up. To me it has always felt the natural way to keep bread fresh. I've been using these bags for a few weeks now. They keep my bread fresh and I am happy with them. I usually finish my loaves in 3-4 days, so I still don't know what happens beyond that, but so far it feels better than keeping it in a plastic or a paper bag.The bags are well made and seem sturdy to last for a long time. I recommend them without hesitation.

Bread never lasts long in my household so I never had a reason for storing my bread in the fridge. The problem that I had was that leaving my bread on the counter top results in it drying out quickly.I received these linen bags mid-April and I have been using them for about 1 week now. The 11x15 inch bag is the perfect size for the rustic artisan bread that I have been baking every other day. No instructions required. I just add the bread, pull the drawstrings tight, and my bread stays fresh. The crust is still crispy days after baking and I don't have to worry about the little animals in our house going after my bread. There were also instructions to wash the bags, but it doesn't get that dirty so I just shake the crumbs out.I'm looking forward to baking some baguettes so I can try out the third bag.

Nice bags. Well made. Like the design. Easy to wash. Surprised that the bread dried out faster, within two days, compared to a week wrapped in sealed plastic bag. Now wrapping the bagged bread with plastic bag to see how that works. Trying to stop using ALL plastic items.

I buy fresh bread from a bakery every week and these are perfect to store them in and pick them up from at the store so I don’t have to use this plastic bags. Quality is really well made. Could probably squeeze two baguettes in the baguette. Ag. Really the perfect combination of 2 loaves and baguette bag. Came with instructions on how to clean it and so far it has stood up well

The raw fabric edges aren't finished in any way, so they have unraveled almost to the seam just from very light use. I'm going to have to do some more sewing or the seams will come apart. I have only had them about 1 month and haven't even washed as I was using them over a plastic bag currently.

Font leur travail en conservant les pains fait maison. Super beaux et bien confectionnés. Épaisseur convient pour conserver l’humidité du pain. Bon format.

Le pain devient sec facilement avec ses sacs malheureusement. Même si on le met au frigo.

El pan se pone más duro que con el papel. Buena calidad pero no funciona.
