Great for holding GpS

Works Great! I have a slightly curved dash and needed something with a little flexibility. My dash is also VERY pebbly so needed something with a great adhesive. These Arkon Discs are perfect! I originally bought a 90mm for the left side of my dash, then decided I wanted to be able to put my GPS in the middle sometimes, so I bought an 80 and left the first one where it was.These sort of blend in with my black dash, which is nice since I always have a blank disc just sitting there, depending on which side I have my GPS on. I like it in middle for daily driving, on the far left for long trips & vacations.***NOTE:***These are a little flexible, especially the larger 90mm, as it has more material in it to bend. The 80 I put on a fairly flat area, but it will flex (tested it in my hand before mounting). The adhesive is VERY strong, which you want. As far as people complaining about the adhesive not working......use some sense and clean the area in and around where you want to place this disc. Use alcohol and a clean rag, then wait a few minutes for the spot to dry before removing the tape and pressing firmly down for 20-30 seconds. Then WAIT. Wait at least 24 hours for the adhesive to cure before actually mounting y our GPS to the pad.This is all common sense information, AND it is included in the instruction sheet....but people don't read and they are too impatient. It's a little ridiculous to see bad ratings from people who clearly did not follow the simple instructions to mount these properly.Again, I have a curved, pebbly dash and these pads hold perfectly! Use the instructions (above) and you won't have any problems at all.

Sturdy and good hold. Be ABSOLUTELY sure of where you want your cell phone holder mounted before placing this because you will NOT get a second try at it LOL.I was getting annoyed trying to mount my phone holder directly on the dash. Nothing I did / tried made it sick. The only thing I didn’t try was super glue (though it DID cross my mind!) I knew the suction cup worked as I briefly tried it on the windshield of my car, but wasn’t sure how comfortable I was with it mounted on the windshield (almost positive such is illegal in my state, though I often see holders mounted on the windshield), and none of the other options seemed like they’d work in my car. A clip-on didn’t seem like it would work well with my dash and a cup holder mount would be hard to use GPS with. I finally found this disk and decided to give it a try. It has been a bit over a month of regular use (including a recent trip where my phone was in the holder for better than 6 hours). Neither the suction for the mount or this disk has lost their hold.EDIT: two and a half months later, this mount is still firmly in place. The phone holder lost its suction once, but went right back on the mount and have had no problems. This is through the summer and while I try to keep my windshield covered during the summer heat, I’m not always 100% consistent with it.

After 3 months the adhesive wore off and it fell off my door. I had a flat surface next to the window on my door. I noticed a couple days ago that it was getting loose. Today if fell in my lap!

The Arkon 90mm mounting disk works flawlessly! Some early reviews said it doesn't stick to the "dimpled" style dashboards and that it keeps coming off of the dashboard. From my experience, there is almost no way for this to actually happen.The mounting disk comes with a small alcohol pad to thoroughly clean the dash in the intended spot of use. I cleaned the area very well and let it dry. I then peeled off the paper backing exposing the sticky surface of the 3M adhesive backing and stuck it to my dash. The adhesive is extremely sticky for such a thin amount and I also installed it on a non-flat surface. I attached pictures to show that I mounted the pad to the curved side of my dash (that is slightly dimpled by the way) and attached my phone holder and it is rock solid! Has not moved one bit and is extremely secure.I don't know how you could mess up the install, but take your time and make sure to clean the dashboard properly and this thing will work like a charm. Also, as the pictures show, I have a pretty standard sized suction cup for my phone holder, which makes the 90mm mounting pad look huge. It is pretty massive and I initially thought that I would not like it, but it turns out that I have a few more mounting options and positions with the larger surface area.Overall, this product works great and sticks very well to almost any dashpad or dashboard. Follow the instructions and it should work well for you! Great product!

It would be great if it stayed stuck. This is my experience in the couple weeks that I've had this. After cleaning the area in my car with alcohol I installed the adapter plate and let it sit overnight. For two days it was fine, then it peeled off where I had it connected so I tried it again, and within a day it came off again. So, I put super glue on 4 edges of it and reconnected it to my dash. It held great for about a week, then it fell off, leaving the stick paper on the dash, but the rest of the adhesive had fallen off the disk. The problem is the adhesive not only won't stick well to the dash, but won't stick even to the adapter plate and stay in place. I'll just super glue the adapter itself to the dash so I get the use out of it, but I would have preferred that the adhesive was good enough to do the job to prevent this more permanent connection.

I have tried many slipcovers for my living room furniture over the years. Most never fit quite the way I needed it to. In the advertisement for this couch cover it s.aid it would be so easy to put on. Trust me it really was the easiest. If I change my colors again, I will definitely buy this brand again. It was the best my sofa has looked since it was new.
