Polaroid 8" Internet Tablet

I recently bought 2 Polaroid 8" Internet Tablets at a great price on Black Friday sales. I want another one exactly like it but am not getting enough specs to know if I am getting the same thing. Such as Ram, screen resolution, external memory and many more. Would be more apt to buy if I knew these things. Then I will send my review.

I am returning my Polaroid 8" PMID800 tablet to the store. It won't download apps, Polaroid doesn't have any support available for the PMID800, no user manual or anything online. Every app website says it can't find the model of my tablet, so I can't even download from Google! Not compatible with any app download site. Keeps losing the WiFi signal - which is funny because I was standing right next to the WiFi unit! Really a poor piece of equipment. Spend the extra money and get something that works.

I bought this tablet for my daughter for her birthday and I would say it was good but not great. First, be careful when inserting a micro sd card. When we tried to insert the sd card, it slid right inside the table and got stuck...We had to pull the cover apart to get it out. Second, this product does not come with google apps installed. There is no google play. You must chose from one of the app networks pre-installed on the tablet to download apps. They recommend that you download amazon's app store-which requires a credit card in order to add new apps. DONT DO IT!!!! You can download the zip file for google play and install it manually. I found how to do it online and it works perfect. All of the apps that google claims is not compatible with this tablet is a load of crap. Every app that I use on my phone works on this tablet. You can even download the google voice app and assign a telephone number to this tablet. I have had no issues with internet connection except when I have too many things connected to my wireless router. If your tablet is having connection issues it probably is your wireless router, not the tablet. You may need to upgrade to a more expensive wireless router which holds more internet connections. I admit I started out a bit frustrated with this tablet but after tweaking it by installing google play, it does just fine especially for the cheap price, by the way I only paid $99 for mine. So dont give up on this tablet unless it is defective, which the one I purchased was not.

I bought two Zeki tablets for my kids, I needed to get a third and when I went back to the store all that was left was this Polaroid tablet which cost more. I caved and bought it in hopes she would like it cause it cost more. Very poor tablet to say the least. I was 8 feet away from the wifi box and the tablet said no Internet connection available. (Other devices were connected so I know it wasn't my box or signal) . It wouldn't download apps, the App Store was black, and it won't load anything I want. It's going back in the morning.
