Great Low Budget Starter Bag
When I decided I wanted to do some kickboxing (or something similar) to be a little more active when stuck indoors, I went in search of a bag. I realized that we don't really have the right space and structure for a hanging bag so started looking at free standing bags. I quickly found that I had limited choices in my budget range and hoped this would be a good place to start. After getting this bag, Guido and I filled it with sand and blew it up. Guido is a 3rd Dan black belt in Tae kwon do, so I asked him to kick the bag really good at the top to see if he could get it to knock over and stay over. Every time, this bag bounced right back up ready for more action. I've since been punching and kicking to my heart's content and having a great time of it. You certainly won't get any major resistance from this thing (it only weighed in at about 25# filled with sand), but if you are not looking to spend one hundred or more dollars, or if you are just starting and not even sure if you'll enjoy kickboxing (or whatever), this is a great bag to give it a try. It sure beats trying to punch the air (which would so not be my thing) as it gives you something to make contact with. I do like to pull it to the middle of the room when I use it so I can work around the bag. It will develop a slight lean (maybe 10 to 15 degrees) if only punched on one side - though I suspect that if I took the time to fill it totally with sand I wouldn't have that problem. We stopped filling it when we started spilling more than getting in, but it is still mostly full. I'm not sure how water compares but I would bet that might be even more sensitive to being filled all the way. Sand will shift a little, but water sloshes quite well if given the space. My recommendation would be to fill it as full as reasonably possible whichever you choose. You do that and you should have yourself a really nice, inexpensive starter bag to play with.

Perfect way for kids to learn basic striking and have fun.
This truly is for kids, but it’s what we bought it for. It’s important to mention before filling the base blow it up to stretch it out to get sufficient sand or water. We used water in the base and an electric air mattress Pump for the top and it worked out perfect. We filled it like may 15th and haven’t needed to fill it up since. I’ve given it some hits occasionally playing with the kids it does hold up well and is fun. They just like to beat it up it’s great for teaching the basics for throwing punches and kicks. We actually bought it as a way to get them to release they’re frustrations out in a healthy manner. So for a 6 and 4 year olds it works great.

Don't waste your money!!
Ugh, don't waste your money!! I thought this was an inexpensive item rather than purchasing a filled 70lb bag from Everlast. WRONG. You can only fill the bottom portion, and not even the entire silver bottom, about half of that. You can either use water or sand, I choose sand because I planned on kicking the bag and wanted it more solid. There was no easy way to fill it because it had one of those openings like you blow-up a raft!!! I had to insert a small funnel I had and pour sand in upsidedown, which did not work well. After literally 2 hours, I had about 2 handfuls of sand and gave up, filling the remainder with water. I then blew it up with the foot pump included, ugh. That took another half hour, but at least that was a workout for my legs! I finally had it ready and when you punch it, immeidately it falls over so there's no real impact and thus, no real workout! Totally disappointed BUT the kicker was, there was a leak somewhere in the top air-filled portion and it deflated after an hour!!!!! I ended up sending it back, sand and all! I bought a REAL bag for $50 (only $20 more than this piece of crap) and love that, so don't waste your time or money on this!

Punching bag seems sturdy. You need an electric pump to inflate
UPDATE:We just got our first leak after 2 months of an average if once a week use, which is roughly 8 uses. I revised my review to 3 stars- I hoped it would last longer than that. I did find the leak and im hoping the patch i just put on will hold.Read the directions!! First you need to fill bottom with sand or water. We did water, but Id reccomend sand-i just didnt have any. You need to inflate with an electric pump. THE INCLUDED PUMP IS USELESS. An electric pump will inflate it perfectly. Ill update this review after it gets some use.

Hard to Inflate, But Worth The Effort
I first bought the Pure Boxing MMA target bag for my younger brother as a birthday gift. He had seen me training on an inflatable punching bag for months, and was curious to try it. As it turns out, the bag I got him had a way better design than my TKO punching bag. The material was more durable and leak-proof, and the design made it not only more compact, but smoother to rebound when hit. When my TKO inflatable punching bag finally gave out on me, I decided to get a Pure Boxing MMA bag for myself. With all the positives, there's only one negative that I can say: inflating it takes a good while. The foot pump that comes with the bag won't do the job on the first try; use that pump to keep the bag inflated from time to time after you inflate it. I had to purchase a manual double pump to inflate the bag quickly. Thankfully, once I had inflated the bag, the worst was over. After throwing a few punch and kick combinations, I knew I chose the right bag.Overall, if you get this bag, be sure to get another pump to inflate it, and be sure to put at least a gallon of water in the base.

My 7 year old loves this thing!
The media could not be loaded. I have a very active 7 year old son that loves thing! It was hard to put sand I bought from Home Depot in the bag but it was well worth the hard work and patience. Had my eldest son help hold the bag as I try to funnel the sand in the small hole. We made a huge mess and it took about 30+ mins to do but my son really needed something to punch b’cuz I get tired of being his punching bag. He’s happy, I’m happy! I have to remind him from time to time not to sit or jump on it so it doesn’t pop. Of course, he still does it. So far it’s holding up.
