Hop! Hop! (Leslie Patricelli Board Books)

I own many of these book by Leslie Patricelli. Each one deals with a different topic, (potty training, bed time, treating pets, being quiet instead of being loud, being happy and sad, taking a bath, Halloween, Easter, Christmas, etc.) My child loves having me or her mom read them to her and she cannot get enough of them! We have read them so many times that she now knows them by heart, she sits down and pretends to read them. We have had these books from before she was 1 year old, so about a year and a half. She has handled them constantly and they have withstood the abuse. Highly recommended.

I got this cute book last year to read to my grandson as we approached Easter. He loves the little baby in the Patricelli board book line and this was an instant hit. He is still enjoying it and is almost ready to pass it on to his baby sister (he says maybe next year but not yet.)He laughs a lot when the baby has some difficulties finding eggs (just like he does) and likes to “read” that page over and over again. While he is still claiming ownership of the book, he is having fun showing the book to his little sister to teach her own to find eggs in an Easter Egg Hunt. All around – an adorable book with fun illustrations.

So cute! We love the Patricelli baby and have found these holiday books (Hop! Hop! and Boo! - still need the Christas one) to be the best basic introduction to holidays and their happenings for young kids. They aren't religious, so you'd want a supplement for those elements if you want them to be a part of your kids' experience. What they are is a wonderful starting point for what your kids can expect to do and see in preparing for and celebrating holidays. Awesome!

Love this book. Very basic for babies and toddlers. This is the 6th book we own by this author. The bright colors and short sentences keep my almost 3 year old’s attention better than any other books we own. Last year around Easter time, this book had sold out on Amazon, so I made sure to purchase one extra early this year. Hop! Hop! and The Birthday Box are my toddlers two favorite books, so I would definitely recommend adding it to your child’s collection as well.

All of the books by this author are so cute!! My kids enjoy them from 18 months all the way to elementary! They're so cute to read aloud and cuddle around and also great for older siblings to learn to read. The illustrations are cute and I was so happy to discover this Easter book! Perfect Easter basket present!

We bought this as part of our daughter's Easter basket, and our kids loved having a new Patricelli "baby" book. Simple story and brightly colored, instructive illustrations. A nice addition to their library that they'll want to read anytime.

Very cute! We loved Yummy Yucky and Quiet Loud so much so we branched out to others by the author. The cadence is different, but language is simple and descriptive for my 21 month old.Describes colors and patterns which my son loves. We adore the baby in the book, so cute. We've been reading this getting ready for Easter.

Another great book by this author. Simple enough for my 2 year old to “read” but also long enough for a simple bed time story. We do all of the traditions mentioned in this story and my son loves it!

Secular Easter book. No religious elements to the book. The story features some traditional Easter-type activities with a focus on the Easter eggs, which means lots of fun Easter egg art. In this book the child just gets an Easter basket in his room and hunts for eggs outside. I never had pets growing up, so my parents could hide our candy around the house. But if you have pets snd are nervous they will get into it and you want to start a fun tradition of just giving your kid a basket of goodies in their room, you could put this book in the basket and then read it every year for Easter.

Purchased for my 2 y/o daughter - she can’t get enough of Leslie Patricelli’s baby books. I think they all offer good lessons for little minds, and she clearly identifies with the baby’s feelings in each scenario. Recommended.
