Got them for my son and he loves it.The kids did beat each other pretty hard. Some of the string holding it together broke but I just taped it up.I would say they will hold up well enough for the price.

My 12 year-old son loves these. Very durable, have withstood at least a dozen fights thus far with no visible damage. Some reviews state that they did not receive the handguards -- we did.

Very forgiving. I spar with my young boys with these and even when contacted with reasonable impact, no tears. They keep coming at me. They're holding up very well, seem vey well made. If your kid (or adult) is interested in this kinda stuff, great way to start.

I bought these for my 13 year old son and I cannot keep them out if his hands. I love watching him outside playing with them. It's kept him off the video games and he's even trying to teach his younger sister how to play. Each time he comes outside, he has one in his beltloop, ready to spar 😆

Little disappointed that they are much light weight than I want them to be. But I only use it fir upper body exercises doing Suburi. So keep them.

There are no hand protectors on these as shown in some pics. But they are strong and work great. They won't break easy. For the price, they are awesome. now if I can just find a way to put hand guards on them. Do the original ones in Japan and Asia come with hand guards? Hmmm.

They seem to be well made and will be perfect for dueling fiends.
