Shipped fast, Great sound!
Well, I'm very happy with how fast it shipped, the sound was much more rich and loud than I was anticipating which is wonderful! You can really tell that this was hand made with very good craftsmanship. The only thing I'm a little disappointed with is the pad. The fringe is falling out, mine was orange and turquoise which I guess I can live with for now, but the big problem was that it will not stay on the pad while going around the rim.. I will most likely be looking for a substitute pad in my near future. For that reason alone, I give it 4 stars.

I love it!!!
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a rin / singing bowl for my meditation practice, and this seemed to be the best quality for the price ($19, plus $4.99 S&H) and it came with a pad & a striker. Ordered it on October 13 and it arrived in the morning 3 days later (estimated shipping date: October 15-18, estimated delivery date: October 21- November 5)... awesomeness!!The bowl is beautiful. Simple and well-crafted, with a lovely bold sound for its size and appearance (lingers much longer than it sounds in the video). The pad, despite being the advertised as (although not promised to be) blue and white with a gold pattern, arrived blue (almost purple) and red with a gold pattern. Turned out to be a pleasant surprise- like how I used to think all I wanted was a golden retriever, until I was offered a poodle that I then just had to have... (I still don't have a dog, mind you... but I do have a delightful singing bowl :) )Unfortunately, the striker was not included. The included (HinkyImport.com) business card, however, indicated they might be fast to correct any mistakes. I e-mailed, they responded immediately, and I received my striker today (October 18th) along with a funky magnet and an adorable flag banner with Buddhas & (Tibetan??) writing that I'm looking forward to translating! The striker's much lighter than expected and has a different handle & color than advertised, but (again) I love it!Was planning on giving 4 stars, because a product was missing and the items aren't completely as advertised, but since I love the products I ended up with and the seller more than made up for the error I am very happy to give full marks to both the product and seller :)

Buy something else...
I actually tried to send this back but was too busy and missed the deadline. It looks as pictured, does not look at all hand-made, all the parts are there, but the sound is shrill and this is the only bowl I've tried that I can't get a consistent sound when trying to make it "sing". I now use it as a dinner bell, it's awful to use for meditation. Looking at the other reviews, I think sometimes they send you something matching the description and sometimes they send you the thing in the picture, and those are not the same thing at all.

Great first singing bowl.
I have been wanting to learn to use singing bowls and start collecting, but many are very expensive, and I didn't want to spend the money only to find I couldn't learn the technique. So I started looking for cheaper ones and tried out this one, because it was on sale for under $30.I must say that I was not expecting the quality to be as good as it is for that price. And that was okay, because I wasn't hoping for great quality, just something to learn on. But it turns out this is a very nice, solid piece with no visible flaws. When I struck it with the mallet, it had a very nice note, so I knew right away this would be a better beginner's experience than I had planned for. And once I got the signing technique down, this thing really has a great voice. The note is around 883 Hz (an octave above tuning A) and reverberates around the room and fills it beautifully. All in all I'd say this makes a great first singing bowl, but also would be a nice addition to a collection.

Fantastic
I wanted a nice singing bowl, but didn't want to spend a bundle as I wasn't sure I would use it. I've had it a month and use it every day. The product description says the bowl is designed more for striking than singing, but I "sing" with it every day. It has a fairly high pitch (as expected with a bowl this size), but resonates very well. My husband is quite impressed -- I can fill our entire bedroom with sound using the striker around the outside. The seller included a short print out with instructions on using the bowl -- very helpful! I've ordered other bowls and they come with no instructions. The pillow looks exactly as pictured. The striker I received is a little different (and better, in my opinion) -- it's more detailed and darker in color. Overall, I've VERY happy with this purchase and will purchase more singing bowls in the future as I find the practice very calming (I prefer "singing" to striking)

With the right touch you too can make it sing.
At first I couldn't get the bowl to sing but with some patience and the correct rate, zing! It sings! Idk what they made the pillow out of but my dog snatched it off my table and shredded it, oh well. It works great when you ding it like a bell.

Small and inexpensive but might
Great tone to this. I bought this for a fellow martial artist who was going through health issues and couldn't come to the dojo. Being an upper-level black belt, he would ring one of these to call the class to attention and then ring the big kane (kan-yay) to start the class. He rings this at home now and hopefully will be back soon. The reason I mention all this is that the tone had to be rich and mellow to match the one at the dojo and this one was. It doesn't sound like the kane's deep baritone but it does sound a lot like the smaller bowl we use to bring the class to attention and that's is fantastic. Get well, Sensei Smith!

junk
Truly not worth spending any money on it. We bought several from this company and I am VERY VERY disappointed with ALL of them! Horrible sound quality, cheaply made and honestly, I could not even give these as gifts they are junk!
