CBConcepts is the bulb you need!
CBConcept is the best! I have been using their MR16 bulbs for the last year in various colors to light the exterior of my house. I have 4 palm trees that I light up different colors depending on the time of year and holiday. For example, St. Patty’s Day the palms are lit up green, for Valentines Day the trees were pink. CBConcept bulbs are so bright and vibrant. I have purchased other bulbs through Amazon, but I always find they lack brightness. These bulbs are the best I can find. I have four different colors now and hope to continue adding new colors until I have every color available. I also plan on trying their other bulb sizes in the very near future. Great company, great product, great communication if you have questions.

Need some sun glasses
Holy cow these are bright. We had been using the 20w standard halogen in our kitchen and they would burn out in a couple month ... the did light the kitchen, but barely (10000 hours my foot). Anyways, saw these and thought that 5w usage with an 'Equivalent' rating of 50w would work and bring a little needed light to the kitchen (I have used LED and CF bulbs before that had an equivalent rating that was always overrated). These things, though, it's like I put in a 150w bulb. We were just going to replace a couple but had to replace more since the rest of the kitchen seemed dim and shady. I cannot speak towards the longevity of these, but they are bright. Maybe too bright ... I am sitting here seeing things that need cleaned :)

Three years later...
For the most part they have done well. Now, almost three years later I am finding that they are starting to fail. I have 6 lights that brighten up my home at night with a bright white light for about 6 hours each night and I have replaced all of them up to this point. For LED lights to fail like this is a bit of a disappointment at least for me. I am under the impression that they would last much longer. I guess I should be satisfied they have lasted this long.

Beware the length
These look like good bulbs but I didn't really get to try them. They are at least a couple of millimeters longer than halogen MR16 bulbs and did not fit into my fixtures (I have the kind that have an adjustable angle with a hood that covers the posterior of the bulb as it rotates). LED bulb manufacturers seem to take liberty with size and these are significantly longer than the halogen bulb being replaced. I have been replacing all my household bulbs with LED's and have noticed this with many of them. Sometimes they are shorter than the corresponding halogen and sometimes longer. Shorter is probably better since those fit the fixture but are slightly recessed. One would hope that a bulb designation would mean that it is size compatible so that it fits the fixture but this appears not to be case.I can't really rate these as to quality and performance since I didn't get to try them before returning them. They just didn't fit.

My mistake the color indicator was there on the side of the box very small print. but still it was there! What made me think a larger indicator was needed? maybe so if you have 20 or a few 100 boxes on a shelf and one is out of place I can immediately see that fact. Other then that you have a good product.

Sensitive to heat build up
These lights (450 lumen MR16) appear to be sensitive to heat build up even though they are advertised as a replacement for halogens. I replaced these in metal fixtures that had venting holes at the top for its previous 50W halogens. After the lights had been on for a while, one of them started flashing on and off. This was the second incident with these lights. A previous one had started to flicker after it had been on for a while. These LED lights get quite hot. My workaround was to remove the UV filter required by the halogens to allow heat to escape a little easier. I think this may be sufficient. Most of the lights had been doing OK and only 2 seemed to be on the margin. The previously flashing light worked fine after it was replaced without the UV filter in place. I assume this was because it had cooled down by then; I have yet to leave them on for an extended period.
