We bought this fabulous flashlight over two-and-a-half years ago, and it continues to be such a great purchase! How many flashlights have you bought for a lot less that do not last? Guess what, those garbage flashlights still cost money and will continue to disappoint. Save yourself the anguish and just buy this one! Short answer: Buy this one. Longer Answer: BUY THIS ONE and here are a few reasons why: Dewalt, across the board, is an amazing product line and this one is no exception. The battery not only holds a charge for an extended amount of time (like months) it also allows you to work with it for a lot longer than the competitors do. I know this because I have foolishly purchased other brands. I also believe it charges faster than others but that just might be me. Oh, and these batteries recharge over and over again! When our power went out and our special-needs daughter needed to know she had a flashlight to get to the bathroom, this little champion was right there! The actual light produced is incredible, and there are two settings. The actual light produced is so clear and seriously bright, even over two years later! I love the fact that it really does stand up on its own without tipping over. I also love that the head pivots to so many incriments to make it a hero at any job. A flashlight is one of those things that, well, when you need it, you need it. You probably do not have the luxury of recharging it at that moment, right? This one will not let you down. I would seriously consider it for any gift list! Yes, you have to buy the battery and charger, like most of its competitors. These are well worth it. The batteries are also interchangeable with all Dewalt items. Again, buy this, you will thank me.

This light is very bright and with 4 or 5 ah battery it lasts a long time. It was particularly helpful in our recent three day power outage. Setting the light on a table with the adjustable head pointing straight up to the ceiling the reflected light lighted a room almost as good as when we have electricity. I am so impressed that I went back and bought a second one. Since we already had several Dewalt tools and several chargers and batteries, buying this light was a no brainer. Highly recommend.

I buy stuff & tools 'just to have it' or when new stuff comes out. As i see it, One always needs a spotlight for SOMETHING or on occasion but for me I always lose or cant find mine, or they grow legs or disappear after you loan them out. So i eventually bought several of the 'old' krypton bulb jobs, and keep one in each of my cars...As i had so many already I seemingly couldnt justify the added cost of this... but on a whim decide to buy it and 'TRY IT OUT' . WELL, I love it. Its a 'solution looking for a problem' and use it more than teh standard bulb old ones. The ratcheting head is nice, as is the hanging strap {vs none on old model} and hence why DeWalt probably put it there? I've dropped it once or twice already and she's help up & not yet busted ...so I'd give this girl 4-5 stars for durabilty so far. Even with the mulitiple LED 'bulbs' { lol, i know..bulbs are bulbs, diodes are diodes,not bulbs} the battery life lasted quite a long time. Granted I was using a 5aH battery but you wont have to worry about getting half thru a job and darn light go dim on ya. For me that WAS a concern usingr NiCd and even older lithium batts inother spotlights but I since developed a habit always having a fully-charged batt there at my LITERAL side where i was working. Thats got pretty expensive having 2 batts on person, 2+ more in charges. And why i ALWAYS buy those older batts during killer sales whether neede or not. I have LOT of 18v niCd & Li batts. Justifying buying ENTIRE new 20v series tools & 20V battery line was major concern. Im medical profession and avid DIY'r but I couldnt resist trying this spotlight out. I'm also now comfortable having only battery in tool { tho another in charger, somewhere} . NO REGRETS BUYING THIS and since got fewmore 20v tools even tho I barely use my 'old' 18v tools. NOT SURE i will bite on the new 'FlexVolt' system marketing ploy. I WOULD however,wait to buy this ON SALE down the road if ur jst a DIY'r and not someone in the business or using spotlight every day. too costly for th average Joe. NOV 2017 UPDTAE: This spotlamp LITERALLY lasted 2.5xLONGER on single battery than the Bosch on same 5aH battery. Will buy ANOTHER of these JUST to keep in car !

Boyfriend loves it

Got this for pretrip inspections driving truck, good n bright, you can light up dark spots even during bright days. Sound dumb till you need to really see under your trailer of fifth wheel on a sunny day in the south. Stands well even with the small batteries, I’d use this light to help me back into dark recessed docks, either lighting up the area or the red light as a target.

From the advertisement it’s a powerful flash light 1500 lumas but it’s not impressive at all. It’s a durable flashlight, ridged, well built, quiet large, but far from being overwhelming or impressive. If you need a powerful beam, find something else. In my opinion it’s just a regular flashlight, nothing more.

Standard Dewalt tool - GREAT PRODUCT. Feels good in the hand, bright as the sun, and I can see into dark holes during the midday sunlight. Positive connected detents for head adjustment.

Great product by Dewalt but I wished it had a brightness control but other than that 100% does the job can see the red dot on 5 miles away
