The Revit Formula: Parameters and Formulas

This was helpful in explaining to a novice WHY a formula works and makes it easier to make custom formulas instead of trying (sometimes in vain) to find something on the internet to plug in.

This is a very clear and concise primer about a critical area of Revit. I felt very empowered by this book.

Very informational book and makes a good reference book.

For the price and the year it was published this is actually a great book. Yeah it is kind of tricky at first but the author really makes reading it kind of fun. It goes from basic to pro with a bunch of examples and scenarios. An update of it will be great, with new topics or new ways of going around problem solving in Revit Formulas. I actually bought a current revit family book with a building and collored image on the front, and it was terrible. Basically it was a simple door tutorial you might get from a youtube without any formula's to deal with.

Deludente! Un testo superficiale, oserei dire inutile. Il titolo "Parameters and formulas" non rispecchia minimamente il contenuto. Non ne consiglio l'acquisto.

It's a short book, but really quite good about getting right into the point of building up parametric families using formulas, like the title says. I've bought a lot of Revit books, and this covers a topic that is pretty underserved, IMO. Well worth picking up for the Revit user who is always looking to get deeper into the possibilities of the software.

Not as comprehensive as I expected, helpful nonetheless.
