Vinland Saga Vol. 1

This edition is black and white (warning!) and smaller versus the compendiums, but that's why I prefer them. Well...not the black and white, but they're smaller (easier to handle) and weigh a LOT less then the bigger editions. Which anyone with a large library knows size and weight quickly become an issue when collecting whole sets. I was pleasantly surprised at the depth of characters and how quickly I was drawn in by the beautiful art and cliff hangers throughout the story. I prefer regular novels over graphic novels because they typically offer more, but this series doesn't leave lacking in quality or content!! If you want color and don't mind weight and size so much, get the black compendiums instead. But this is a Great buy!

I was hooked from the start. And within a few weeks I bought all 14 in the series. Haven’t read all of them yet but I know I’ll love them. Do yourself a favor and buy these. (If you like Vikings, especially)

I recommend Vinland saga it’s so beautiful and so peak to watch the anime is so good pls read pls read pls read pls read and pls watch

You have no enemy’s

Vinland saga is incredible ... like Murakami , Yukimura is an author who has created a work of fiction that has a global appeal, with a message that transcends any one culture. The characters themselves are drawn convincingly with Nordic facial features and Yukimura renders viking culture circa 1200 AD with studied veracity. And yet there seems to be something at once Japanese and Nordic about the expectations and sense of duty placed upon the Nordic individuals represented in this work of human fiction . -possum bones

First of all, the quality of the product is very nice. I love the hardcovers, the pages are high quality and I’ve been able to read the entire series without even creasing the spine while also being perfectly ergonomic for books with 300-400 pages. They have taken top shelf to my manga display and it’s AMAZING for the price point, I mean you just can’t beat it. Secondly, the content is just GOATED to be real. The story is just hands down amazing, Vinland Saga is a top tier shounen series and I highly recommend it to anyone. The translation is on point, the art is immaculate, character development and the relationships you develop with characters can be honestly goosebump worthy. I turned into a HUGE fan and I will probably reread it over and over. So if you’re looking for a new series to get into please let it be Vinland Saga! I promise you will not be disappointed! On top of that, the shipping is really quick, you won’t have to wait long.

A great manga! It’s pretty violent and graphic, so it’s definitely more adult oriented, but it tells a GREAT story and it’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL, both visually and written. Would recommend if you’re looking for some adult centered manga

It's a great manga, worth reading for sure

Vinland saga is the best everyone

Hardcover version of the first 2 Vinland Saga volumes, what's not to like?

So I bought this series on a whim. All I knew was that it was about Vikings and the medieval era, as I am into all that type of thing. But wow, was I impressed. I read it in the space of just 2 days, and was amazed by the art, story and characters. I find Askeladd to be quite funny too! Thorfinn's back story is incredibly sad too. The book arrived in perfect condition, but I will point out the spine was quite flimsy, but it's fine. I have volume 2 and 3 ordered and I urge anyone who is considering to read this series to do so.
