Saves a lot of trouble
I'm not fan of taking short cuts. Installed a new whisper fan in my toilet room to replace the 3 sone $20 dollar fan. At the same time wanted to combine the light on the fan and fan to one switch. Wanted to just pull the double box and replace with a single and do all the drywall work, but decided cuz it's the last room in the house this was a good place for a short cut. Again, may not have used this someplace else in the house, but one obscure room in the house is fine. Works perfectly and looks as perfect as I can personally accept.

Looks Great!
Believe it or not, couldn't find these at Home Depot. Thankfully amazon had them, though IMO a little pricy, and also wish the screws were a bit longer, the two longer screws (for the blank, not the outlet/switch) I had an extremely difficult time getting it to catch the threads and even now that I did, had to bend the plate in a little bit and it's only hanging on by a thread or two.

Why use a 2 gang box with 2 switches and only 1 switch is wired and goes some place !!!! USE A SINGLE GANG BOX !!!!!! Take out the non functioning and use this cover plate

Worked as needed and was the right size, other one was too small
I had purchased another brand before this one and it was slightly too small and showed the drywall blemishes. This one was slightly bigger and covered it perfectly. Make sure to check your dimensions to hide any blemishes before ordering

Needed a unique wall plate. Wasn’t in a rush. Too lazy to drive down to the hardware store. The product itself is what it is and it fits over standard double gang boxes. It can be found cheaper virtually anywhere on planet earth.

Unfortunately, pre-drilled holes not all same distance apart, (why?????) which is annoying, else this blanking plate would be a direct replacement. I need this to cover the space left by a large programmable thermostat (generally useless and especially so after power outage) with a more conventional manual one. The required screw holes are too far apart to accommodate the replacement, but the plate can be drilled for correct screw location into the wall power supply. Otherwise, an elegant fit.
