An amazing SDR in a small package
This little 24 bit SDR is a ground-breaker. Nobody out there has used a 24 bit A to D chip yet in an SDR. The resulting RX audio is so smooth. Also, the resulting selectivity is superb. It is better than my $4000 SDR base radio whose name I shall not mention. The little display is just fine...and most importantly, the refresh rate on the spectrum display is really fast. the TS-890's display is slow compared. CW decoder works well and the SWR antenna plotter is a bonus. The really nice thing is the 20 watts TX output. It makes all the difference when operating portable. You can actually be heard by SSB stations. The final transistors are rated at 40W max output, so this design is loafing. It uses the same series (but smaller) transistors as the FTdx-101D. Xiegu seems to be hearing our requests and firmware updates will add new features. Two thumbs up on this little radio!

The G90 Performs as Advertised
The Amazon and Radioddity service was excellent. I received the radio within one day of ordering. After a few days of using the G90, I have found that it is easy to upgrade the firmware using instructions and videos on the web. The display is small, but excellent quality and the radio appears to be very rugged. I plan to use it mainly for portable operation -- the 20 watt output really helps during poor HF propagation. The audio quality from the speaker is very good and loud considering the size of this rig. Seems like Xiegu has a winner with this one!

Works As Advertised
Flexible, multiuse amateur radio transceiver, just the right power and size to work in the field or on a desk in your shack. 20 W output is a good power level considering output would need to be 80W to make 1 S unit difference on the receive end (8db power increase = 1 S unit). This is a fun radio. Have only had it a few days, and no one can say how well it will hold up and how much trouble to get repaired when the day comes. For now, I'm having a blast with the G90. Great thing about SDR radios (I have an Elecraft K3s) is that every firmware update is sort of like getting a new radio. By the way, the seller got the radio to me fast via DHL.

Like the Xiegu G90!! Need one fix for 5 stars!!
Really enjoy the little Transceiver. Would have given 5 stars but they need to fix the ground plug in back of radio. It seems to be installed wrong. In pic Top is G90 and bottom is 108G.

You will fall in love with this radio
Overall functionality is excellent. High value. Audio is great. CW filter is adequate. Screen and waterfall is very nice in a portable package. Mic and compression sounds very good over the air (heard a recording of my ssb transmission). At 20 watts I find QSOs are more enjoyable than working with true QRP levels. Autotuner is equal or better than the one in my $1000 radio. KM5PO

Amazing rig for the money. Groundbreaking really - tiny knob is a bummer - easily fixed
This radio is just out of this world. I will say at first I was thoroughly disappointed with the lack of functional setting parameters like AGC, a water fall with something left to be desired and awkward setting parameters.Just recently Xiegu released the 1.71 firmware update and boy I tell you what it's like an entirely new radio. They fixed all of my issues - including the loud startup tone. I highly recommend it - it will run on a lipo battery and the built in tuner will match my G5RV with window line on 80, 40 and other bands without a problem.Would buy again and again and Xiegu has a customer in me. The build quality is rock solid. My one HUGE issue with this radio - which I fixed myself - is the tiny tuning knob. Some may not mind but if you're used to any other rig you will be disappointed. An easy fix - as you can see from my photo.Enjoy the radio! You should buy it - blow people away when you tell them you're running 12 watts and they come back saying you're 5-9 and you're audio quality is superb.73sKN4YIJ

Great value
The G90 is an excellent little radio! I got it set up and in just a few minutes made several contacts on 40m several states away with very good audio reports. 20W can reach out surprisingly well! The user interface is very straightforward and easy to learn and to use. The display, while small, is very easy to read. The automatic tuner does an excellent job. CW decoder does a passable job.The only negative is the documentation that comes with the radio doesn't provide info for CAT interfacing which is possible with the G90. Fortunately, this info is available elsewhere on the internet.

suprisingly good QRP radio
This radio surprised me. it is quite good. I have used it for Parks On The Air. The built in tuner works well and the audio is much better than I expected from this small radio. The waterfall display aids in finding signals quickly.
