SheaMoisture African Black Soap Bamboo Charcoal Pre-Shampoo Scalp Scrub, 4 Fl Oz

I just started buying from this brand and love everything I’ve bought. This is a great product I have recently started having skin issues and have tried so many products, including high priced products and I finally found something that really works. Highly recommend this!

This is a great scalp scrub, except it left a waxy residue on my actual hair, even after washing it twice afterwards.Also, it is super watery, which I understand helps it get to your scalp easier, but that makes it come out of the bottle easier and you waste a lot trying to use it.

Helps get rid of dandruff

I want to love it as it was a referral from a dermatologist ( not this specific brand, but a pre-shampoo with bamboo charcoal), however it made my hair super dry. I only applied to my scalp and massaged with a silicon brush, as the bush that comes with the product is too weak. I didn't change the shampoo or conditioner i was using and my hair went from shine and manageable to dry and frizzy. So, it must be the pre-shampoo.Will have to look for something else next time.

I love Shea Moisture. I buy their line of shampoo/conditioner for the whole family. However, I battle with dandruff & I was hoping this product would help. It’s pretty tough to squeeze the product out & spread through my thick hair. The small bead like texture is hard to wash out completely too. The scent is meh, but my scalp does feel tingly afterwards. Did it reduce my dandruff? Mmh yeah, some. Haven’t reached for this since the first use though. Too much work.

I love this product line and wanted to love the product, but it just didn’t work. It was so watery that it was nearly impossible to apply to the scalp. I felt like I wasted a ton. The bottle leaks and the scrubby applicator is hard to use. Love the brand. Just not this particular product they make.

arrived open from the top so when I squeeze it the product comes out from 2 sides -_-besides that I don't think it should be called scrub-its way too liquidy without these small pcs to scrub

I've used the hair masque version for years as a pre shampoo treatment for my dry scalp condition, as truly the only thing that helps me get at my scalp without drying it out. I decided to try this version of the product as it was new and intrigued me. The nibs work better than any other scalp tool of its kind at working the product in, though I struggle to know if I'm putting too much or too little product in it while using it. Typically I squeeze it while looking at it then bring it to my scalp, but I think I'm still squeezing product out while working it in. However it's much easier to apply directly against my scalp than the masque so I'm loving this new experience.
