Terrible job of converting print book to e-book.
The typeface was differently sized on each page (ie several different type sizes on one page). The page breaks made no sense. There would be half a page blank in the middle of a chapter. Very distracting, making an advanced read even more challenging.

Shameful production of an excellent novel
Excellent story, awful production. Chopped up randomly, different type sizes and styles, scatted formating. Not worth 99¢. Wouldn't have been worth it even if it were free. Amazon should be embarrassed and ashamed to sell something like this. Garbage.

Classic Book at a good price
Jane Eyre is a very good book, sometimes long and wordy, and sometimes not very realistic, but even today I could not put it down. I first read it many years ago, at a much different time in my life. This Kindle edition is somewhat difficult, given the abrupt changes in font size and the pages that have only a few words on them. But the story is good and can easily overcome those minor inconveniences.

A Stirring and Thrilling Read
This is perhaps the third time I have read this novel; it does not disappoint. On the contrary, I have neglected almost everything because I was utterly enthralled by this pork of literature. It rightly deserves its placr in the canon. How I wish there were more novels of Bronte’s to read!

Epitome of Gothic
In my opinion, the greatest Gothic novel ever. It sets the standard. A wonderful story about an independent woman in 19th century England who finds her way in the world, from a terrible childhood at a religious private school to the mysterious Thornfield Hall as governess and Mr. Rochester's secrets. A great love story.

One of the the best books, if not the best, I ever read. I’m re-reading now.
Great great book. About a very smart and outspoken young girl. Her parents died and she’s being taken care of by her wicked witch of the west aunt. Who ships her off to an orphanage, which believes treating the kids awfully is the way to go. At the risk of spoilers, I won’t go on. Just a great great book.

A Beautiful Classic
Such a beautiful, well written book. This book needs and deserves to be studied still. It is a true masterpiece, and the love story contained within will enchant the heart of the reader.

Real frustrating read.
The story was wonderful- this book was horrible. There were parts where words were misspelled. At one stretch Mr. Rochester was calling the main character Janet. Some places paragraphs were repeated. Read Jane Eyre but choose a better variation.

Reader, I thought the book would never end!
I read this classic years ago as a teen and remember loving it so much. Something must have changed my tastes in all the years since, and although I finished it, I found all the moralizing and sermons and introspection tedious. I didn't particularly get on with Jane. Beautifully written of course a classic, of course, a fair approximation I imagine of Charlotte Bronte's life, she drew on every ounce of her experience, her father was a clergy man and she had been sent to boarding school, but, for me, the asides to the reader, the introspection aspects, were wearisome and detracted from the story. She told it well but I found it overly long, and I couldn't get on with Jane. A bit dated for me.

How on earth was this edition published
Someone has surely copied and pasted the text for this edition. Absolutely appalling changes of typeface, paragraphs ending in the middle of a page and continuing overleaf. Do yourself a favour and pay more for a readable version of this classic.

Clearly 5 stars. It’s Jayne Eyre.Although I do prefer Wuthering Heights if I had to choose one Bronte
