Are these too big for standard 1/2inch kitchen and bathroom taps?

Far too big...these aren't tap washers...they are gaskets....maybe ok as a seal under a tap but black in colour.

Can these be used in central heating system

I wouldn't have thought so. I use mine on exterior butts as connectors between each butt. I don't know if the rubber would stand up to the heat on a central heating system.
