Works perfectly and with 2 universes, definitely worth the money

I have 2 Chauvet DMX-An2. I used mine with a MacBook Pro 2022, Anker usb-c hub, and a TP link 5 port switch. Software was Chamsys. I set them up for artnet and they worked perfect. I had zero issues in the configuration and chamsys picked it up immediately. Fantastic product for the price. Only 2 cons I can think of. 1) no good way to rig it to truss. 2) no RDM, but for the price I could look passed that.

This is definitely pro-ish gear because it's not really plug-and-play, depending on what software you're using for lighting control. But if you follow the directions carefully, once you can connect to its web interface, it's super easy to roll with. The big thing is just to make sure that your control software and this unit are on the same subnet. I had it use a specific IP instead of using DHCP, and that works fine. I like the unit itself because of the indicator lights. You know that you're getting a stream of DMX signals when the lights blink. With the holes I can use tie wraps to secure it to anything.

I've used this for my DMX controller for years. My old one stopped working (after something like 7 years), so I bought a new one. This newer model has firmware upgrade options which the original did not. Otherwise, these DMX interfaces are rock solid and work really well. I could have bought a DMX King or Entec, but this device worked well before so I bought it again. That says it all.

Would not hold config

I was using a competitor's interface with RGBW LED strips hooked to a DMX decoder. I kept having random flickering and flashing that I could not fix. I finally swapped out the interface with this, and it has been rock solid with no issues. My only complaint is that it is not set to DHCP from the factory. So I had to hook it up to my computer, change IP addresses, and then switch it over to DHCP for my network. It would be much easier to setup with DHCP set by default.

Easy to setup .. built like crap .. if you need tough ..this ain’t enough .. if you need cheap then this is deep .. even better yet.. power over Ethernet .. could be worse but you got 2 universe

Hasta ahora he estado trabajando con diversos interfaces USB, pero esto me ha abierto muchas posibilidades. Ahora puedo manejar las luces directamente desde el IPad (con Luminair 3, Vibrio, Stagelight, etc.) y por Wifi. Además le tengo enchufado un emisor Lixada y todos los fixtures van con receptores de la misma marca, todo sin cables. Probado también directamente desde el ordenador con un cable de red (con QLC+) y va perfecto. Me lo tenía que haber comprado antes.

Setting takes a bit of faffing- there is a simple way described on the website whereby you connect PC/Mac directly to the device using ethernet cable but have to (temporarily) reset your IP address settings in order gain access to the web-interface of this unit. TIP- check the firmware version before downloading and installing what may appear to be the latest version from the chauvet website. The firmware on the website was older than what was already in the unit. Tec-support were quick to help out, once i eventually found the contact page on their website.

Muy fácil de configurar. Lo tengo conectado a un router wifi para una red de DMX inalámbrico. Probado tanto en ArtNet como en sACN y de momento ningún problema.
