Primary Phonics - Storybook 4 Starter Set

We started with Bob books. When she was 3 1/2 we switched to these easily. She is now five, and FLYING through the teal books so we switched to chapter books (Henry and Mudge).I highly recommend this series as a stepping stone. The price is excellent. With 10 books in a series I keep several in my car, purse, diaper bag, living room, playroom and bedroom.For motivation I require a book be read before I will turn on the TV or hand over the iPad. Also 1 mini m&m for every site word flash card.

I really like the way this series gives step-by-step instruction for children reading on a first grade level to progress from very easy to difficult words. These books start from set one to set 6, with a few sets having subsets in each category for review of the concepts. I had much success with these books when working with a child with dyslexia.

These are the new one-color set, not the old multi-colored set as pictured.

We are working our way through these sets as my sons learn to read. We found out about them because they were used in his Montessori preschool. These sets are a great way to learn to read.

My daughter loves reading these book since she was in Montessori school. I advise any parent(s) that are looking for reading material to advance your childs reading experience, I suggest getting these books.

Perfect reading series. My 5 year old is on level 4.

Many more words per page in these more complicated stories. Not for beginning readers. Should read sets 1-3 in order before tackling this set.
