It's a good tool and works so saves you time and saves the hassle of fighting with rusty clamps and whatnot.The only thing is, sometimes it doesn't open as wide so you only do half the job with this and the other half with another tool or manually.. Nevertheless it helps with the initial opening of exhaust clamps so it does the job indeed.

Great price and availability.I needed these in a hurry so was prepared to pay whatever my local shop charged but I couldn't find them anywhere in stock.They do work well and being long they can extend one's reach to the inaccessible area that an exhaust turbo joint is normally situated. In my case - behind the engine which could only be reached from under the vehicle when the subframe was dropped.I was at full arm extension but still could not reach the turbo band clamp however these would reach the clamp comfortably.I would note that at full expansion the pivot joint and the ratchet pawl become under a lot of strain. This can lead to the jaws twisting and the clip flying off but if one is aware you can compensate.The ratchet and pawl holding the jwas open under pressure take quite a hammering especially if the clamp does indeed "ping" off. I noticed mine had started to wear thus reducing the life of the pliers.I don't think this is much of an issue at this price/usage but if these were to be used with any regularity I would suggest buying a second set for backup or a more robust set.Either way one cannot complain for the price.Overall very recommended.

I ordered the above item as new and when it arrived today you can clearly see scuff marks and scratches on them and I have not yet removed it from the packaging. It looks like they have been used.

They do tend to twist a little bit, so you have to make sure you’re on square, but it works much better than a pair of pliers thats for sure!

If you have struggled with opening up exhaust clips then these are what your toolbox is missing !The pliers have a locking ratched which makes removing exhaust clips a lot easier, don't go mad when opening the clip up , just enough force to slip the clip over the joint makes for a smooth fitting and removal.

Utilisé pour collier catalyseur/FAP Peugeot 1.6 hdi. Fait bien le boulot. En position ouverte, il arrive que l'outil et le collier vrillent. il est préférable d'utiliser la pince à 90 degré par rapport au collier plutôt que dans l'axe pour éviter ce phénomène. Le blocage en position écarté est bien pratique.Avant j'utilisais une vis de M8 assez longue (50mm par exemple) enfilée dans les trous du collier, en mettant 2 écrous dans l'ouverture du collier. En éloignant ceux-ci l'un de l'autre, ça fonctionne aussi, mais c'est beaucoup moins rapide qu'avec la pince qui prend 5 secondes.

Justo lo que necesitaba. No me esperaba que fuese tan grande, pero mejor, sobretodo para un modelo en concreto que la brida del escape queda en un sitio lejos del alcance de otros alicates.

Superbe pince, vendue 6 fois plus cher sur les autres sites, ici pour moins de 20€ et de très bonne qualité !Ça facilite grandement la vie avec les colliers d’echappement PSA, merci beaucoup!
