The Mad Professor's Crapshooting Bible Paperback – January 1, 2006

I’ve read every significant book on craps . This one is superior to them all if you really want to learn from the perspective of a shooter that bets. There is knowledge in here you won’t find anywhere else.

I'll admit I was apprehensive about buying this book. I previously had read a lot of Mad Professor's craps essays on line. I made the assumption this book was just all of his old essays strewn together haphazardly to produce a book for an additional revenue stream. Boy was I wrong! I found the book to be extremely informative. Granted some of the topics/concepts from his essays are reintroduced, however there is new additional information that every craps player should know. If you're a Dice Influencing skeptic then you probably don't want this book. Much of the material in the book focuses on the skill of influencing the dice. If you are interested in Bankroll, Money Management, and keeping what you win then the small investment you make to acquire this book will probably repay itself many times over. Tino Gambino's writing voice is friendly and direct. It's like he's talking to his best friend. The book has been properly edited and is a good read. I downloaded the Kindle version onto my tablet. I visit Vegas frequently and I plan to use it as a handy resource while I am there. Just reading it puts you mentally in the game. Well worth the money!

Hello Reader,I am new to Craps play. You must realise that this review is written by someone who has only started playing Craps a month or two ago and it is written in Dec. 2007.I would tell you that the Mad Professor has a good book here, but, it is not a book I would use to perfect my throw. There is plenty of knowledge in it. It is a good book. However, a person like me needs more concentrated information on the subject of making the dice level to the table.When I bought this book I also bought Frank Scoblete's Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution. The two, together, were the best case scenario for a starter such as me. Frank has the teacher's perspective and Gino Gambino has the endurance perspective. It was, I think, a good combination at this time.Personally, I would not call my book a bible. I think the Mad Professor made a mistake there. I am a Catholic and calling your book a bible needs to be backed up like the Pope backs up his liturgy - this book does not do enough to accomplish that. There were no Adam and Eve here, I need a book that addresses the fundamentals. And as far as I am concerned, the fundamentals are the physics of a rigid body. I am hoping the sharpshooter has the physics for a great new book.In short, this book is a good read. I would give it the compliment that it conveys a great deal about the sport of craps shooting for profit. It seems no book can do it all, and that is not a surprise. This book is one I want in my library. The author is fluid and determined, he has the spirit of a winner at the craps table, and that is inspiring.I guess I have said nothing with so much one one side and as much on the other. I think the author has been shooting craps so long he missed the basic instructional technique to bring a neophyte into the best case scenerio, but, still, it is a good book. I gave it a 4 of 5 stars as the result of I could not shoot the dice as well as the author expects me to without some mentoring from a teacher who writes to the novice.

This book is packed with excellent information. Unfortunately, as a journeyman advantage player, it goes so far "into the weeds" I found it overwhelming and a bit tedious. I have found a lot of the advice about practice techniques useful but, due to it's extreme depth of detail regarding the mechanical aspects of dice control it is a difficult read. I would recommend to the serious player but don't expect to be entertained. The book is all meat and no filler. Hope this helps.

This is a sizable volume on the art of dice control by someone with the pseudonym of "Tino Gambino", or "The Mad Professor of Craps". I hadn't heard of him (or her) before buying the book, but the author is a full time craps player, and has certainly put in quite a bit of time and effort in developing a system of dice control. If you're interested in craps, and want to develop your technique and understanding of dice control, I recommend this book. There's lots of valuable "nuts and bolts" advice on the physical and mental aspects of casino advantage craps playing.

I have read most of the books available on control shooting. The Mad Professor breaks it all down in easy to understand language. It is truly a must have go to "bible" for anyone serious about developing a skilled approach to tossing dice with an edge.

Very detailed information on dice control and the foundational basis for becoming a winning craps player. The Professor literally takes you by the hand and teaches you in a simple step-by-step manner the proper techniques to implement at any casino in order to maximize your profits.

The most insightful book out there. It goes places the others do not. The best practice tips and alternate ideas. It also enlists ideas and theories of other authors and shooters. Another book that does not promote it's own products while trying to educate you.Definite must read. Practice practice.
