Very nice and practical fishing rod and reel!

Did the job! It’s good enough quality, I landed two fish standing off a pier as of an evening. The telescopic part worked fine for me, as did the set up.

Sturdy and decent feeling. Just keep price low please it feels expensive to hold, so its a win right now

Had this a few years, bought for my now 13 year old daughter and it has had very little use. Snagged a little lure today with some 6lb breaking strain line and the rod snapped (exploded) just above the second eyelet trying to tug/dislodge it. Not brilliant and first night on campsite we came to for 2 days so she could fish!

Brought fishing rod for our grandson for his birthday .Looks perfect for him and his father to use.Unfortunately cannot comment further as not used yet.

Not used the kit yet, but looks like its good and well made. However the reel does have some of the paint missing already so not sure how long it will last.

I think we've had this rod in regular use now for the past year and its performed brilliantly.We started out buying it just to simply try fishing (my wife got into watching monster carp and fancied giving it a try)So we ended up getting this magreel set up for my sons birthday and that was that, at least one of us is at a lake or river 2 - 3 times a week now every week and has been like that for the past year.Myself being the most addicted obviously have purchased a few other rods now of various types (there is a lot!) But as an introduction to and general all round travel rod for beginners and kids it's been great.We use this mainly on a small local lake where Regular small carp have been out with the kids up to around 9lb so far mostly float fishing.We've also had small Pikes and perch out on the lures in the rivers and canals too so it's perfectly capable.TBH the kit thank comes with it is not great so depending what style you end up doing, I would soon swap them out to suit.We wanted to start float fishing first so I don't think I ever actually ended up using the kit properly just went into the local tackle shop and got a few bits from there.The rod and reel however have been great and a still in regular use, pefect size to leave in the car in case you get a cheeky five minutes to down the river.
