Barielle 7-In-1 Elixir Nail Treatment .5 ounce

This brand has been around for SO MANY years, and it’s still as great as it used to be. It makes your nails strong, and grow much nicer.

I wanted something to strengthen my nails because they would always rip and break at work or riding my bike. It’s not so bad if they’re not bleeding, but it would stop me from using my hands if they were. This stuff has worked great for getting super strong nails. It goes on like nail polish, takes 1-2 hours to dry like nail polish, and has a glossy finish like nail polish—but it’s completely clear, unlike nail polish. My nails felt much stronger, and none of them ripped while using this stuff. The only problem is I don’t want a glossy finish. I want the look of a natural nail. I tried Barielle’s Matte-inée treatment on top of this, since it said it would mattify when used as a top coat with any polish. Unfortunately, that just brought my nails down to a satin sheen. It stands out less, but as a guy, having shiny nails stands out to people. I really like how strong my nails are with the 7-in-1 Elixir applied, but I think in the future I’ll just use the Matte-inée alone for an undetectable nail strengthener.

Does strengthen nails and make them look polished.

I've been trying all the various nail treatments that claim to strengthen, and prevent chipping, peeling, and cracking. So far, nothing was helping. My nails had been perfect for years, and then over the past year, a difficult year for everyone, they developed splits, cracks, and some peeling. I used the Barielle product, which is slightly milky, and a topcoat, no color. The milky white color was very sheer and gave my nails a clean, healthy look. It grabbed on and stayed on for over a week, and even my worst two nails did not peel, split, or chip. Upon removal my nails are healthier, and stronger, no yellowing or any other negatives. I'm going to reapply tonight, and keep hoping I've found the real deal. For now, I can say that I've tried dozens of other products and this one really works! Try it!

Using it regularly and really haven't noticed anything. But nail products rarely deliver so I'm not shocked.

I’m very pleased I chose Barielle 7-In-1 Elixir Nail Treatment for my very frail finger nails. I was in desperate need of something strong to begin the process of rejuvenating my nails. They were soft, brittle, rough & ridged. I could establish no growth. This nail treatment has very little odor to it. Nothing out of the ordinary from a regular bottle of nail polish. It goes on very smooth & clear. The brush is of nice quality. The bottle was full & I foresee it lasting a good period of time. My picture reflects 2 layers of treatment. My thumb nail shows growth that wasn’t there prior to using this. My nails are establishing a softness I haven’t had in years as it’s very moisturizing. There’s also strengthening I haven’t felt in years. I did use Barielle’s Hydrating Ridge Filler prior to beginning thIs nail treatment. For all of these reasons I definitely recommend this.

7/16/20 - I have been using this product for the past 2 weeks and I am still impressed. I took an updated photo for reference, but I have even filed my nails in-between pictures. My nails are longer, stronger (something I notice even with out the product on my nails) and healthier looking. My only criticism is that the finish is porous - I dye my hair blue and have to protect my nails with gloves when I wash my hair or my nails become blue-ish too. I am eager to report back in a couple of weeks. I have nails that have grown ridges. I also usually have gel manicures, so my nails are not as naturally strong as they were a couple of years ago. I have tried a few options - Mavala makes some nails strengtheners and cuticle conditioners that I like, but not a polish type product that doesn't peel easily. This product from Barielle initially seems superior. I find all polish type products will peel almost immediately upon application. This product has more flexibility to it and it has remained on my nails for days (even with lots of hand washing). I also think the 7-in-1 Elixir Nail Treatment looks really nice on my nails - natural but better. My goal with this product is to protect and support my nails now while (hopefully) improving the new growth with diet + supplements. I am not expecting a miracle, but am pleased with the staying power, resulting nail strength with the polish applied, and how the Elixir looks on my nails.
