Delivers as promised.
strong thunderstorms create pools and substantial flooding in my gardens. This pump is quickly solving the problems.

This pump really works and is fully submersible
I had about 2 feet of standing water that I needed to pump out of a cistern. This pump took care of the problem in a few hours. It is totally submersible and runs very quietly. I would highly recommend this pump if you have a flooded basement or any other area where you need to remove relatively clean water.

First one a dud, second one good!
Foolishly we waited almost a year to test this, and when we did, we had a LOT of trouble with it. After wasting several hours, including a call to technical support resulting in a ridiculous answer (to wrap the garden hose with plumber's tape), we called the company to exercise the warrant tee, and were authorized to send it back for a possible replacement. The return process was easy, but we paid for return shipping, which was not right, because the pump was defective. We did not make an issue over the return shipping, which was around $20.00, because we were so happy to get this problem behind us. The company should have refunded return shipping costs. The unit was defective. Instead of water pumping out through the garden hose, water was spouting out from a screw hole at the top of the unit. We could not see this in the dark crawl space filled with water, and we thought the problem was the garden hose. We tried several hoses, thinking the problem was the hose, and then we finally brought the pump outdoors and tested it in a bucket of water, and that is when we saw the water spouting out of the screw hole. If you buy one, test it where you can see what is happening, and don't wait too long. THE REPLACEMENT PUMP WORKS GREAT.

Pumps for hours
Recently, my home town raised our water rates almost 300%.I like to raise some veggys and flowers in the Summer, so I checked out if a small pump like this would pump from a small stream that runs through my property. The Wayne company support was the only place that would talk to me. They spent quite a lot of time helping me.Little Giant wouldn't even answer my messages.I needed a pump that would pump a few gallons a minute to a head of 10 feet and through a hose close to 200 feet long at the maximum. This little pump sits in the stream submerged and it pumps over 5 gallons a minute at a head of 5-6 feet through a hose 150 feet long. The head is the water discharge height above the stream. I can go to over 200 feet at a head of 10-12 feet and the water volume get less, but it still works fine. You can't use sprinklers or anything that restricts flow, that would cause the pump to overheat. I just let it soak in.Using a Watt meter I have, I figured that the water costs me less than 5% of what the town is charging, and the water is much better for plants than treated water.I can leave this pump on for hours and it doesn't even get warm.

Died after 3 uses - don't buy it.
Tried to use to pump water from basement. Bought it last year, used it twice for 45 minutes or so. Tried it just now in 2024, and it died after 20 minutes. I originally bought it for a back up to another pump -- and that pump (branded Ace) has worked for years. And I have that original pump working now, same place -- so it is not the water level or the power...but a bad pump from Wayne.

good pump
I have another one of these pumps that I use around the house. I have a sunken patio area with a French drain. At times the rain overwhelms the drain and needs help. In the spring with rain that causes rapid snow melt and the ground still frozen the pump is essential. This pump works well that is why I bought another. My church had water issues this year but I could not help because my pump was in use, thus the extra one incase help is needed again. My other pump is 10 years old and still going strong.

Great pump
I used the pump for descaling my 50 gallon hot water tank. I made 2- 8foot hoses which are 3/4" diameter. I used 13gallons of vinegar. Ran the pump for 8hours. the pump was completely submerged in the water. The pump was warm to touch after 8hrs of use. YES I recommend this pump!!!
