Good for beginners
I brought this as an absolute novice when it came to playing either a sax or an instrument, it was recommended to my as a good beginners guide, which it is!The lessons are progressive, yet easy to understand and follow. For me the biggest plus has been that the book does not make assumptions of prior knowledge.My one and only gripe is that I believe the accompanying CD could be better. I was recommended this book and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

...my grandson has just started playing -this is a great book, i've been a pro musician for more than 40 years -i'm not a sax player but it is easy enough to follow that i can work through the lessons with my little one...great

Accurate and easy to use
This book was recommended by my teacher and has assisted me in beginning to learn to read music.
