Moctezuma's Children: Aztec Royalty under Spanish Rule, 1520–1700 Paperback – May 1, 2005

I enjoyed reading this history of the children and other heirs of Moctezuma, the king of the Aztec empire. It was very enlightening to see how the King of Spain and his Viceroy treated these vanquished royals like the royalty that they deserved and to learn how some thrived in the New Spain.

I found the book to be very interesting.

Interesting book, particularly if you are a descendant.

This is a great book for genealogy/history purposes. It has the family tree of Moctezuma and the history of his descendants.

Very informative. Not really for light reading but a demonstration of excellent research with resources included. Great for geneologists or others interested in this subject.

An interesting read about the time of conquest and how the children of Moctezuma thrived.Several copies of family trees are included.

Very good book,with a lot of data and easy to read.I bought this book to find some family roots and the book coverts all my expectations.It's very impressive all the beautiful and human story behind the book.

A must-read for whomever is working on their genealogy dating back to Moctezuma's children. Focuses on his daughter Isabel and her progeny, but is still interesting in order to fully understand the complicated relationship between Aztecs and Conquistadors.
