Great movie but no promo
Price at the time of purchase was great, came sealed and is a good movie, however when I bought it people had been getting the promo but this copy definitely doesn't come with it (has no front sticker) so disappointed in that regards

Good Movie Good Blu-Ray
Pokémon Detective Pikachu is a good film, in fact I'd go so far as to say that it is unlikely anyone could make a better film about Pokémon. It's fun, well acted, well made, and has a proper story with a beginning, a middle, and an end. I say this as someone with little investment in the Pokémon franchise beyond having occasionally watched the cartoon, as an adult, back in the 90s. As for the quality of the Blu-ray, you would expect a 2019 release to look great in this format, and it does. PLEASE NOTE: This review refers to the 2019 1080p Blu Ray release of Pokémon Detective Pikachu.

**Contains minor spoilers** I'm really not sure what I expected as I haven't played the games and I'm not a fan of the cartoon. Why did I buy it? Well, the trailer made me laugh and I thought it might be good, switch off brain entertainment. And it is. But that's all it is. The big flaw for me is that the funniest bits of the film were in the trailer and so I was left disappointed that there wasn't more of that throughout the film. The plot really gets lost in the film's final third in a blizzard of special effects and the ending was a real head scratcher. Saying that it was likeable enough and I have younger relatives who I think will really enjoy it.

英語字幕で見たかったので、リージョン2と表示のあったこのDVDを買いました。デッキはSonyなのですが再生できませんでした。コンピュータは設定を変えなくてもそのまま再生できたのでHDMIでTVに繋いで見ました。 発送自体はとても早かったのですが、ケース内で円盤の真ん中のストッパーが外れていて、カラカラ音がしていたので☆-1です。 ピカチュウの動きの可愛さにやられました。

Incredible. I didn’t rally get into the cartoons but this movie was awesome. I can’t wait to see if they do a sequel!
