If you are buying this unit to eliminate the points on a Datsun D11 engine with a Hatachi 414 distributor be prepared that this unit will not fit. Significant modification will be required to make that happen. I gave it 4 stares because it will work if you have some tools and know how to make the correct changes to make it fit this motor and or distributor.

After searching for a very long time and nobody could tell me if this works with my 1973 datsun pickup truck 620 with a L16 engine guess what?,,it works and I am so glad I can get rid of the points,,,,,awesome

Installation can get goofy. The tapered screws bottom out and lock the advance. Also the magnet ring takes a good amount of convincing to get on the distributor shaft. I had to use the old screws to lock the ignitor plate and that created clearance problems with the ring and I lost some green tape as a result. If you iron out these relatively minor issues the system works perfectly.

I use only the hall sensor to replace on mie honda S800 alrady with similar kit.

I've added a PerTronix on all my Datsun vehicles to eliminate points and am very happy with the results. I find the cars start much easier, run more evenly and even return a bit better MPG. The installation directions are good. Just don't forget to put the rotor back in the distributor when you are done.
