This was a great idea but, the mounting holes are less than 1/8" and needed to be drilled out. And more importantly the seal between the copper pipe in the wall and the sharkbite was very difficult to achieve. They don't tell you how much pipe needs to protrude from the house to make the seal. Second, most copper water pipes move in the walls so pushing the faucet on to make the seal is not possible unless you can somehow prevent the pipe from moving. I finally pulled the pipe out of the wall further than needed and held the pipe with needle nose pliers and kept working the faucet back on to the pipe until the leak stopped. If you can open up the wall and/or prevent the pipe from moving, this faucet can work. I love Sharkbite and use it often, but in this application it is problematic. Valve handle is on the small side making turning it on and off more difficult.

I purchase one of these for an outdoor spigot because the 'normal' ones made today are real junk that freeze up. Granted, this spigot is on the windward side of our home so it does get some weather but I always cover it before the winter months. Nonetheless, they have failed because the internal parts are not of any appreciable quality. It's a real task to replace the conventional taps so I am hoping this one will be of better service. SharkBite makes really good products and I have used them in other parts of my home.

Hey it's Sharkbite... push to connect and done. No glue, no soldering. I've used Sharkbite for all my plumbing needs, always worked and never had any leaks.

It's OK. Works fine. Internal dimensions same as 1/2 hose bibb so don't expect any flow increase even though the water feed pipe end is 3/4

Super easy to connect to PEX pipe-tubing, but the mounting screw flange is so shallow and holes is so small it is really challenging to mount (even using mounting plate). A common 5/16” screw head hits the edge. Another trip to the hardware store…

I have been using Sharkbite products for some time now although only indoors. Up to now I did not know Sharkbite had products for the outdoors. This faucet for my outdoor hose replaced a solder type faucet that was malfunctioning. Taking off the old faucet required used a torch and some labor. After prepping the copper pipe I simply pushed in the sharkbite faucet and done in 5 minutes. These products are a must try. Very reliable.

Could have used a bigger turn on valve.Used it for a hose bib.

Very easy to install. Only thing is that two holes for screws are bit small. (no screws included)

Leaks. Started to leak as soon as I turned the main water shut off on. Tried to fix it but it still leaked. Back to soldering
