Obsolete, but I needed one
I needed to replace my x10 remote and didn’t want to go through the hassle and expense of upgrading my entire home automation system. This remote was priced fairly and as advertised.Does the job perfectly.I’m happy with the purchase

Works exactly as advertised and functions perfectly.
Our Cable company decided to go all digital which resulted in our direct cable connected TV's no longer working. The cable company now requires a small digital box (along with a monthly rental fee) and another remote. The IR Database for these new mini-boxes are not available in the Universal Remotes I currently own. I was not interested in purchasing several fancy (i.e. somewhat costly) programmable remotes. Found this x10 Remote and, for the low cost, decided to give it a try...After the first few attempts with the learning function, I was able to fairly quickly program the x10 remote. However, the learning function requires the user to Reading The Instructions! The remote learned all the functions from both original remotes and functions perfectly!NOTE: Have not tried to x10 Functions as yet...

False description.
Clearly labeled an RF/IR remote. I bought it for the RF function so I could use it for my Bose Surround Sound but it doesn't work. After reading the manual, i see it's not RF at all. Furthermore, the only fuctions on my TV it will control are power, volume and channel, nothing else. And on my cable box, it only controls the power, no guide or FF, none of that. Waste of money!

What I received was a dirty, used unit that had batteries still installed
I bought a new (UR74A) remote. What I received was a dirty ,used unit that had batteries still installed. It was preprogrammed so it did not work with my X10 modules and that are set on program "A". The label on back was completely worn off, see photo. I reprogrammed it and it is now working .

It's OK. X10 Control included which is a real bonus.
It's ok and served a need in replacing a broken TCL remote. Have found it to have limited range. Eager to try it with the X10 feature to control table lamps and small appliances. (I have had X10 modules in the past and they work really well.)

Excelent!
The X10 Universal Learning Remote is an incredibly versatile remote control. Has RF signals for X10 systems (not used); huge list of codes for automatically programming the replication of many OEM InfraRed remote controls; and can manually learn to replicate almost all keys from any available IR control, -up to 4 different ones. The unit I received uses only two AAA batteries, not four as indicated in Amazon page. Purchased in Dec/2014 for only $10, ...a bargain!

Good product for good price.
I finally found a remote that actually learned my other remotes. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star is because it takes quite some time for it to learn the controls on your existing remote. In fact I gave up a couple of times because I didn't think it was working. But I retried and after holding the two remotes together for about 2 to 3 minutes, it actually learned the function of my existing remote. Now if only I could get it to learn the stupid Amazon fire stick remote it would be perfect! But in all fairness I don't think that is an issue of the remote, I think it is an issue of the Amazon fire stick remote.
