Happy Birthday, Moon (Moonbear)

Passing on a classic
This is a classic that I had completely forgotten existed until recently. I was thrilled to be able to share it with my daughter. As the little bear speaks to his echo and wants nothing more than to give his friend the moon a birthday gift.

Another great Moonbear story. Always hilarious and fun to read with my kiddos. They love Moonbear and laugh out loud and his nuttiness. Awesome book and awesome series.

Awesome
This is the best series, hilarious and cute. Frank Asch is a genius. I read it to my daughter's Kindergarten class on her birthday and the class just loved it. My favorite is still Mooncake.

This is such a sweet story. Bear believes the echo he hears is the moon having a conversation with him. The focus is on generosity and the joy one gets from making someone else happy. My daughter loved this book many years ago and now it is available in a new printing for another generation to cherish.

A charming classic
The reason I haven'haven't given an age for this book it's because it depends -for me it was always a book that I read to pre-school children because it's a beautiful fantasy with a happy ending although both the moon and the Bear lose their hats they end up by saying I still love you to each other. It's a delightful book for 3 to 4-year olds when read to them and can provoke a lot of discussion about how many hats were there really and how did they both manage to lose the hat etc. I'm sure some older children would be able to read the book for themselves and would enjoy the story as long as they were still into simple magical tales.it's the sort of book I would keep forever in fact I might order another one for me.

Expensive book marked and dirty
When you pay £14 for a new child's book, you would expect it to at least turn up in mint condition. The book arrived this morning with white marks on the pages, which I have managed in part to wipe off but visible marks remain. Disappointed.

Beautiful.
One of my favourite stories from when I was a kid and the Nanny families I read it to love it too. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good children's book.

This is a truly great story
You will love reading this to your kids. It is brilliant. You do have to be careful to read the echo as an echo of the original phrase and not try to change the inflection to what you would expect. But it works so well. Frank Asch is a genius.

If you like the moon you'll like this
This is a lovely story for 2+ year olds- however it is a paperback therefore it would tear easily by small children. Reading together with the child there would be no problem of course. I bought it for my grand daughter who loves books and it was her 2nd birthday. She is fascinated with the moon and likes bears so it was the ideal gift and bedtime story, the pictures are simply illustrated.
