Agatha Christie Collection: Featuring Peter Ustinov

Peter Ustinov IS Poirot in the Agatha Christie stories that have been made into movies. The stories in this dvd set will keep you guessing until the end. Well plotted, the movies are very entertaining. I would recommend this dvd set.

Great movies mysteries

I enjoyed this version of Agatha Christie’s Evil Under the Sun. It was fairly faithful to the story but changed some things, consolidated some of the characters as film adaptations frequently do. The cast is wonderful and I particularly enjoyed Maggie Smith!

The great actor Peter Ustinov is great in anything that he does, but he is not quite David Suchet (BBC Series) in the movie adaptations of Agatha Christie's classic Hercule Poirot stories and novels. Even so, the films are enjoyable to watch. Downtown Abbey they are not, but to pass an hour or two during a heat wave or a blizzard, it is hard to beat these three complete films with Ustinov as the Belgian sleuth. I am glad that I have this collection in my film library.

This is still, after all this time, still one of my favorite renditions of Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot.

These were the movies where Hercule Poirot discovered “his little gray cells” were actually ecru.

I am a very big Agatha Christie fan and I have enjoyed Peter Ustinov as Poirot in other movies based on her books. He was brilliant in Evil Under the Sun and Death on the Nile but these movies were just not up to those standards.

I love the made for tv versions of these movies in this rendition series of Hercule Poirot!

Loved the opportunity to view these films with Peter Ustinov as Poirot.

They don't make films anymore that can match these oldies. We binge watched the whole set.
