A Must own for any street racing fan for Wii U owners
As of standing, we all know that the Wii U has a limited selection of great games which is normal for a system thats not even a year old. But with a new system, surely there has gotta be a handful of good games out there. Well I a here to tell you that Need for Speed Most Wanted U is definitely one of those games that stand out.For starters, this game contains more features and content than those found in the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of the game. A buddy of mind has this game for the PS3 and I love it. However, I was debating between picking this game up for the Wii U or PS3. I decided to lean toward the Wii U because its a little bit cheaper and contains more content. Win win!Now for those who have played the game should know the basics. You street race and avoid cops and tune up cars; all that good stuff. This review I wanna focus on the Wii U differences. My favorite feature this version has is the ability to play the full game on the Gamepad [similar to New Super Mario Bros. U] which means I can keep my TV turned off, plug in the headphones and play away! Its a very nice and convenient feature and I love it. However, the game can also be played with the pro controller or the Wii classic controller. If this option is choosed then you can have a player 2 be a 'co-driver' driver and he/she can use the tablet controller to assist you in races. Its a little gimmiky but nice. The tablet controller also gives you the option or motion steering. I dont personally care for it, but again, its a nice feature thats there for those who enjoy it.As for content, the Wii U edition includes the Ultimate Speed Pack. This alone is a $10 add-on for the PS3/360. The pack contains 5 extra vehicles such as the Lamborghini. Not only that you get 25 additional challenges and 70 extra milstones [according to the back of the case]. Finally I must make a note about online; the Wii U version did not require an online pass for me. I just simply logged in with my origin account and linked it to my Nintendo Network ID.Ladies and gentlemen, this is a racing game done right, and its just as fantastic on the Wii U as it is the PS3/360. If you love street racing Burnout style, you wont be disappointed. Thanks Criterion Games!

The best version and a triumph for Wii U racing fans. A must own.
It has tons of cars to win with some well designed areas for amazing jumps, hairpin turns, you name it.My only other open world racer like this was Burnout Paradise on the PS3, which is another very fun driving game made by Criterion that you should check out if you haven't before.Need for Speed U doesn't allow for crashes and car destruction on the same level as Burnout Paradise, but you're still getting the rest of the experience. It's a pretty minor complaint, really. The Wii U gamepad was not forgotten and it shows. You can just tap on the screen to change the time of day, turn traffic on or off, change your car, or even disrupt the cops if you're currently being pursued. The ability to go off tv is seamless as well, it's awesome. Great dev work to make it so intuitive like this. You'd think with such great gamepad integration that they would force you to use it, but it's not a requirement. If you really want to, you can start this game without the gamepad in range and play without it completely. While you are driving around and finding new cars to add to your garage, you can also compete in races and other events to unlock mods for your car. These upgrades let you tweak your stats to customize your performance to your driving style, enabling better off-road performance, better nitro boosts, but there's more than those to consider.I love the small details, like how the engine sound changes when you enter a tunnel, it's perfect. Also, after finishing a race, you can choose to keep on engaging opponents (including pursuing police cars) as they don't disappear after an event finishes. Which really makes sense because, after all, you're supposed to take down your opponent after a Most Wanted race finishes if you want to add his car to your garage.
