First of all the customer service is outstanding, I briefly told the agent named Brad that I received the vents that first came with the product that are harder to breathe with, he said he would send me the new easy vent no problem. I am active duty overseas so it's not always easy dealing with customer service willing to do that for you.what I really like about the powerbreather is the ability to continuously do lap after lap without trying to get a good breathing repetition down. You just put it on and go for as long as you can stand. It's very comfortable when you get used to it you barely know it's even on your head.If you are not sure if you want to get this product rest assured you can try it out and if you don't like it I'm sure they will be no problem to send it back, so what do you have to lose? I will be a powerbreather customer for life!**UPDATE** Received the easier breathing attachment in about a week! First time in the water with the easier to breath piece I was blown away, now I can do endless swimming without taking breath or even struggle for air. Thank you so much for the great customer service!

once you get used to this device, which happens very quickly, its excellent. one trick i found is to make sure you blow out after you make a turn, vs take a breath so that you make sure to clear it before you try to breath

I am using the power breather for the last 3 week it works like a champ. I gave it 5 stars for its durability and ingenuity the beauty of it is that you dont get tired and you never lose coordination when breathing which makes its an endless workout and a joy . from now on nobody should stress over balance or swallowing water when they swim its perfect and its worth every penny...

I waited a month to review because I wanted to be sure there were no issues. This snorkel is a game changer. It is superior to a traditional snorkel as it recycles air rather than “breathing through a straw” and rebreathing CO2. May or may not be a big deal, but it is subjectively to me. The fit and the “bridle” mechanism to wear is comfortable and vastly improved over the traditional snorkel, even in the ocean the fit is great and the ability to clear is excellent. I have been primarily using it for lap swimming training, it is great. We live in Maui and when I’m swimming, people from all over are curious about it and after explanation and trying It on they are sold. Like the Title says. This is a Game Changer and a lot of fun. It has made my swim workout more enjoyable.

I was a little worried to order this because I read reviews that said it was harder to exhale with it. I am a 65 year-old female and swim a bit over a mile five days a week. I love this. It is not more difficult to exhale for me, and I truly believe that I am getting better oxygenation than with a normal snorkel. It took me about two workouts to get used to it. I can swim longer and farther. Absolutely love it!

Love this breather! If you are looking for a way to get in the pool and just hammer out some distance this is exactly what you need!. The boa like ratchet system is awesome! it tightens right to the back of your head and holds the breather in place. It feels a little funny at first but after a few laps, you almost forget you that are wearing it. One thing I was worried about was that this unit would be hard to breathe through but honestly, after swimming with it for one length of the pool I was used to it.

I bought this to swim laps as part of my fitness regimen and have been using it for a month now and I absolutely love it. I can power through 100 laps in about 30 minutes just head down and concentrating on my stroke. Breathing is easy and the always clean inhale is a great improvement over traditional snorkels. If you are a scuba diver, this snorkel has a very 'regulator' type feel to the mouthpiece. The ratcheting knob to secure/loosen the headstrap if flawless. Outstanding quality and very stable. I'd recommend this for anyone serious about swimming laps for fitness.

I love my Powerbreather sport! It is one of the best sporting equipment investments I have ever made. I strongly suggest that you abide by the manufacturer's advice and use this device with a swim cap otherwise it will slip around on your head as you swim. Also, breathing underwater with this device takes some getting used to so when you 1st purchase take 10-15min to get adjusted to it. Finally, it's a snorkel not an underwater breathing advice so from time to time especially if you go well below the surface you will get some water in the device. Otherwise this is a game changing snorkel that is the future of swimming.

Been using the Ameo Powerbreather in an Endless Pool / against a countercurrent for a week, and so far I'm really impressed. It's expensive compared to even the top end of front-mounted snorkels (like 4x as expensive), but if you do a lot of swim training / distance swimming then it's probably a worthwhile investment. I definitely find front-mounted snorkels harder to use over a long distance - when you're working hard it just feels like you're constantly re-breathing your last breath out. And against a countercurrent you really notice what an effect they have on your direction, it's like a front-mounted rudder, the slightest turn of the head creates a big change in drag. Powerbreather so far seems to overcome both of those issues. A number of reviews talk about product quality / longevity, so I'm a little anxious and will keep tabs on that - but if it keeps working as it has so far then I'll be well impressed. PS a number of reviews also talk about the resistance against breathing in being hard to get used to. I noticed it for maybe the first 10 breaths, but haven't noticed it since - it simply takes a very small amount of getting used to.

I have an endless pool so it should be ideal for this. I thought of using this as a way to develop my swimming abilities before worrying about my breathing technique, but I think it's going to be easier just to learn how to breath properly in the usual way. For me, it was a waste of money.

This is a brilliant aid for me . I have osteoarthritis in my neck and find it difficult to turn my head in the water to swim. Until I found this item I had to give up a sport I love. Now I’m back at the pool swimming away.

Potentially a great product but the overall quality is not great for something costing over £70. I purchased two snorkels from Amazon - the first went faulty after a couple of weeks pulling in water as well as air (not a pleasant experience!), the second slowly fell apart outside Amazons return window of just 30 days. When I contacted AMEO direct they offered a replacement diffuser (this is the front part of the snorkel) and suggested I glue this in place.Definitely a great product but this should last more than a month in the local swimming pool.
