I’ve tried every type of food for my little guy, Arnold (our 10-year-old Shih Tzu), and he’s a tough customer — always turning his nose up at kibble. So I was shocked when he actually started eating the Halo Holistic Adult Dog Vegan Plant-Based Recipe without a second thought.Arnold doesn’t have any digestive problems, but I wanted to try something that was cleaner, more ethical, and better for the environment. This food ticks all those boxes. It’s made with superfoods like blueberries, peas, and spinach, and I love that it’s 100% plant-based. No weird smells or junky ingredients like some other brands — it’s just wholesome, nutrient-packed goodness.What really surprised me was how quickly he warmed up to it. The kibble is perfectly sized for his little mouth, and he actually finishes his bowl without any fuss (which is a big win in my book:). His coat looks shinier, and he’s got more pep in his step, even though he’s already pretty active.If you're looking for a truly ethical and holistic option for your pup, this is it. My dog loves the taste. It is the right softness and size for my 19 pound Chipit dog. It is a good quality food and I love that it is Vegan, so no animals have been tortured or harmed in any way just to feed my dog.This food has all that our dogs need. I mix it with two tablespoons of Halo's canned dog food just to please my dog. I also put a bit of this in with a can of Halo's canned dog food for my neighbor's dog five days each week and he loves it. I highly recommend Halo dog food, canned and dry.

Before I was paying the same amount of money for another brand of dog food that was making my dog sick and itchy. After trying virtually everything to figure out what the problem was, I came across a Reddit post that said to try vegetarian food. In the beginning, she did not eat it much - but now she loves it and eats it more than any other dog food I’ve bought her.This was a blessing to find this brand. I can visibly see my dog happier, healthier, and more agile. There is nothing worse than watching your dog suffer and not knowing why. This dog food ended her suffering.The only downside (for me) is that she poops more often. Which, is seemingly a good thing, but should consider adjusting walking times.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:After tons of research, I finally figured out my girl has a meat allergy. She was in and out of the vet's office 5 times in 3 months. Even the vet couldn't figure it out. I started her on Wild Earth plant based diet. She did great on it until they changed the formula. The new formula smelled very strong of spinach and my dog hated it. I was on the search again. After 4 other foods, I finally found this brand. She loves it! After about 5 bags, I accidentally got too low on her supply and no one had it available when I needed it. I ended up having to buy another brand to get me by for a couple days. I will never allow that to happen again. She immediately started having the bowel issues again. In a way, I'm glad this happened because I now know it is truly the food for her. I will not change her or run low ever again!Side note: My girl is a Boston Terrier. They are prone to gas issues. This food even fixed the gas problem.

My dog loves this! This is the first dry food that my dog runs to when it's time to eat. He has really bad allergies & this is blend doesn't trigger any inflammation or itching. There isn't a strong smell & I would say is worth the money if you're looking for a plant-based allergy friendly blend. He's been eating this blend for a while now & hasn't had any stomach or nutritional issues - Highly recommend!

This is a fantastic option for dogs with dietary restrictions and it’s made with high-quality ingredients you can trust. The size of the kibble is great for our 9lb. Maltese-Bichon, but I think the size would be fine for any dog.Two Cons:Very expensive (try to catch it on sale).Only two flavors.
