Classic FLIP Open A-Z Address and Phone Directory

Small, compact and totally retro! Works well, plenty of space to add all your phone numbers and addresses. I ordered one like this 3 weeks ago. It's "held up in transit" with no delivery date in the near future. I cancelled it and ordered this. Arrived the next day. I'm thrilled.

Sometimes the old way is better than the new digital computer way. Needing a way to look up phone numbers and address in a hurry can be a lot more convenient with a physical old fashion device that can be kept near your home / office phone. This still is the perfect device for those who don't have access to a smart phone or computer with no learning curve involved. The device provides plenty of storage space for all the names and numbers you call or use most often with a quick slide of a lever to alphabet letter your looking up. Perfect for the person who likes the hands on approach without having to deal with today's tech. Well built, plenty of storage, and very easy to use.

Quality and functionality plus a great Deal!

A gift for my grandmother to replace her previous desk directory that was getting old and needed updating. She loves it.

I purchased a rotary dial phone. No buttons, no directory, or caller ID. Definitely old school; but that's just me. Since the phone doesn't have all the modern amenities I needed an external directory. TA DAH ( a little fanfare)... enter my little "Classic Flip Open Address and Phone Directory" ! A wonderful piece of technology replaced by electronic gizmos that seem to know exactly when you need them most and then stop working. However with my "rotary dial phone"... (powered by the phone line, so it works when there is a power outage), and a nearby candle to light the Flip Open Directory I'm in business. (I live in a valley and cell phone coverage is virtually non-existent.)The two items directory and phone are ideal together. Definitely a win / win.

I'm disappointed in this product -- specifically the SLIDE gadget that moves up/down to different letters does NOToperate smoothly at all -- it sticks, is reluctant to move easily. I much preferred the older model, with the slideunit on the right hand side. Sorry. It's too much trouble to return it. Will make do.

Strictly old-school but highly functional. Better built than the old one we're replacing that looked more or less the same.

What a novel idea no phone or computer needed.
