American Valve M76QT 3/4" Quarter Turn Hose Bibb FIP, 2 port, 3/4-Inch, Brass

These 1/4 turn hose bib valves are great. They are full flow, so they are not restrictive of your water pressure. Since they open with a quarter turn of the handle they are prefect for older folks with hand issues, or anyone really. It's got soild brass construction, not plated, and work for years, and years before accumulating too much mineral deposits. I just take them off, and soak them in CLR for an hour, then reinstall them. Get these, you'll appreciate how easy it is to turn on, and off your hose can be !!

Easy to operate solid brass quarter-turn ball valve with a long all-metal rubber coated handle that provides FULL flow. The quarter-turn faucets you see in local stores will likely have small knobs like gas shut-off valves and restricted flow, and gate valves are of the Devil. I used to be able to buy these locally, but I'm guessing they (the government) are trying to get these off the shelves for conservation reasons? I had to replace both of my old ones, but not because they failed, it was because the vacuum breakers we are forced to install (there's that government again) could not be removed because of the idiotic break-off set screws (Sidebar: DO NOT use the break-off set screw when you install your vacuum breaker to your faucet or you will regret it later. Save the screw and only install it if you sell your house and the inspector tells you to). Good price for a good high-quality faucet.

I needed a higher volume of water than a standard spigot would produce. Even most ball valves are not full flow. Well let me tell you this thing solved the problem in an amazing way. I ran dedicated 3/4" copper from the main in my house directly to this valve, and the amount of water this thing lets through is biblical. I'm now getting 8000 sq ft of coverage from two oscillating sprinklers running at the same time.The downside is the valve itself is basically useless without a hose. There is so much pressure and flow that opening the valve even a tiny bit causes the water to shoot out with uncontrolled fury. The hose helps bring it under control.It's machined very well. Hoses fit snugly with no leaks. The ball valve operates very smoothly. No negatives at all.Beware though that since it is not frost free, you need to add a shut-off valve INSIDE the house and open this faucet up before freezing weather hits so there isn't water present in the outdoor valve.

HomeD and Big Blue L don’t carry the full ball version. This thing is heavy duty.

The product is a good quality quality. Seems very heavy and solid.

The media could not be loaded.  Awesome replacement if you want quarter turn. This has a large opening through the valve which is superior to the older multi turn bibs.Lots of thread on male outlet and female inlet.Good valve feel, medium friction & not going to happen by accident.Great flow.Quarter turn.

Fully unrestricted flow when completely open. For winterization, be sure to fully open the valve and let the contents drain out, since the ball valve will trap a small amount of water inside and freeze, possibly causing failure.

I liked the angle of the spout on this and the fact it had a larger metal handle instead of a small one, and not plastic! Good heavy duty item that should last.

When the ball valve is closed, it still drips.Not sure if I didn't use enough muscle, or perhaps the ball is rough and will close more completely after I open/close several more times.I'll try the latter and push that lever from 90 degrees to zero, as hard as I can several times, but I suspect the ball machining was done shoddily.Maybe I should have given it THREE stars...
