Box of Maine Classic Chocolate Whoopie Pies - 8 Count

Oh my goodness, these were sooo good. They came a long way to get to us and arrived perfectly fresh, lightly warmed in the Florida sun, it was just like a fresh out of the oven treat. We froze a few for later and they tasted just as good. Just like my mom used to make. Be warned, they are large pies - they were big enough for myself and two kids to cut into pieces and share. Icing is that sugared type and not that smooth buttercream that has no place in a whoopie pie. If you grew up eating these, you know exactly what I mean :)

Great-tasting whoopie pies!! Carefully-packed, shipped quickly, and arrived safely. They're big -- slightly less than 4" in diameter and 2" thick -- soft, and fresh. One cautionary note: extreme deliciousness can lead to over-consumption and weight gain!! (Ha!) -- I limit myself to 1/2 pie at a sitting. I'm very happy with the items and plan to be a return customer... thanks, Box of Maine!!

I gave these as a birthday gift. The recipient really liked them. They came on time and were eaten one a day till gone.

I ordered the chocolate and maple box. I assumed it would be half chocolate half maple, but it was all maple flavored. Don’t get me wrong-maple is good, but I was hoping for the two flavors (including the traditional chocolate). The pies themselves are wonderful. I just wish the description had not listed both flavors and had said it was just maple and I would have chosen a different multipack.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been craving whoopie pies and these hit the spot. They are big! I could only eat half of one at a time. Filling is sweet and the cake is moist and yummy. I prefer the original chocolate cake with white filling. My hubby likes the peanut butter filling and my son likes the maple cake so it was a win win at my house! I put most of the cakes in the freezer after I received them cause I didn’t want them to spoil. They freeze well. Just take one cake out when I’m craving sweets and let it sit on the counter in the morning or defrost in microwave if you can’t wait. Delicious!
