Emmanuel's Book II: The Choice for Love (New Age)

Ram Dass, one of my favorite teachers, quoted Emmanuel in one of his lectures--this was in the early 90s when everything PC was de rigeur. Ram Dass (formerly Dr. Richard Alpert, of Harvard Psychology Dept. lore) said something to the effect, 'what, are you prejudiced against him just because he doesn't have a body?!"I loved the quote in that lecture, where Emmanuel tells them, as channeled through Pat Rodegast, "Death is absolutely safe! Like taking off a tight shoe." (I don't have the exact quote in front of me.) Taking a cue from Ram Dass, who 'takes his teachings wherever he can get them,' I bought all three of Emmanuel's books, one at a time, and find them mind-expanding and soothing to read, especially while winding down from another busy day on the material plane. Emmanuel, whom Ram Dass describes as a 'wise, compassionate, benevolent, favorite uncle who visits with gifts,' has so much good advice for how to navigate life, timely even now, almost three decades after they were published.

I have been on a spiritual journey. I love Abraham and Esther Hicks but there were so many unanswered questions still for me. I seemed to just happen upon Emmanuel. He is truly amazing and does not back off any questions and answers them in the most wonderful almost thrilling manner. I’ve fallen in love with this being. So pleased with all the books.

If you're ready, read it. It has the answers you might not even have realized you are seeking.

Wonderful book that is easy to read and easy to understand. This is a book about Love, about being in the moment, a book about You. Enlightening!

I have been a spiritual seeker and student for most of my life with a book case full of inspired and inspiring books on the subject. There are many titles I have read and passed on. There are many titles that I keep around for a second read or to lend to friends. There are a few titles that I love so much that I have read them many times and purchased several copies for gifts over the years. All three of the Emmanuel books fall into this category. If I could give ten stars I would.

An easy heart provoking read that speaks to your soul and helps you to remember who you truly are and why we are here

Not as good as the first one which was more practical in its application. Still some very worthwhile concepts from a source that is certainly worth listening to.

As mentioned in my review of the 3rd book of Emmanuel's I loved every word of them (3). And I did try to ask my guardian angel before I went to sleep to arrange things for me for the following day and yes, they did happen :-). Will lift your spirit
