Red Lantern 22" Ivory Elephant Lamp

I had written a bad review (3 stars). However, three days later, I realized that I was just in a grumpy mood and I have now decided that I like them very much. They arrived promptly, well packaged and undamaged. Someone asked if these lamps are 3-way light fixtures; yes they are. I am happy with these lamps and MUCH more importantly, when my wife came home, looked at them, looked at me and SMILED, I knew these were GREAT lamps.

I have looked at this beautiful lamp before, and decided to buy it for our new home! The entryway has dark accent walls, so it needed a punch of color. But I needed a certain orangy red and this is PERFECTION. This was already my accent color in the living room. I wanted the lamp to be thin as well as the shade-check/check. Quality of both-check again. There is also a small stand that slightly elevates it and dresses it up further. I have added an Oriental finial. I continue to just enjoy looking at it and what is has added to my entryway. The area is very small and my previous home had a sizeable one. So everything needs to count. If you are even tempted--BUY IT.

Beautiful lamp n large! Sometimes pics make things look better n bigger than they are but these are a great size n gorgeous!

I purchased 2 of these lamps. They were delivered ahead of the estimated date of delivery and were well packaged. They are very well made and look beautiful on my 2 bedside tables. The black lamp shade is a nice switch from the traditional white or creme lampshades and gives a nice warmth to the glow/ambience that I didn't expect. By the way, the red has muted black brush strokes throughout which makes this red blend well with other shades of red that might be in the room. Obviously, I am very happy with this product.

This was the first of two Oriental Furniture lamps I recently purchased. It's lovely, substantial, and seems well made. The color is what I would call candy apple red with deeper red accents, and the white is more antique. I love the crackled porcelain finish and the three-way bulb function. I'm very pleased with this beautiful lamp.

The lamp is beautiful and generally well-made. Others have pointed out several minor issues: (1) the shade's top mount being crooked so that the shade is also tilted, (2) the lightbulb base is tilted. Both of these are not major problems. The lightbulb base will not be seen when the shade is in place -- as long as the lightbulb clears the harp. The crooked, circular, top mount for the shade (where the finial attaches) being crooked is more serious, but can be corrected by gently but firmly pressing the shade into the proper position. If this does not correct the shade, then shims (like a portion of a tooth pick) may be placed on one side of the mount. I love the overall impression made by the lamp. The colors are very rich and even the dark lampshade adds an air of sophistication to the lamp. My home is decorated in an oriental manner (shojii screens on all the windows, oriental furniture, scrolls, artwork, etc.) so the lamp fits perfectly into this environment. Glad I purchased the lamp. It is a good value for the money. In fact, this very same lamp is priced at $750 at a local store (as well as online at their website).

Color is dark candy apple red with gold design. Fits well with my colors and antique furniture.
