is this insert glue a liquid like crazy glue?

No it drys a lot slower it's like an epoxy

The iron surface broke on my hair straightener, would this work well enough to keep it intact?

I doubt it it’s mostly design for forward impact rather than lateral breakage movement

Would this work well for a metal to wood, or wood to wood, hammer glue up? im wanting to go big, not go home lol.

This glue is designed for aluminum inserts. If you want glue for adhering metal field tips or broadheads on wood arrows use hot melt arrow point glue. I can't find any on amazon but I know 3 rivers archery sells it.

If i use for inserts will i have enough time to tune my broad heads before it sets? Not looking for a quick or instant bond?

Yes it takes several hours to set. They recommend you let them set up in a damp environment.after I put the insert in I stand the in a bucket on some damp paper towels over night.
