This is an excellent filter !
I have tried several different fuel / water filters , this filter has a petcock on the bottom. The petcock allows me to check for water or dirt in the fuel system without removing the filter. Dirt and water pools at the bottom of the canister , I can bleed it off into a clear bottle for evaluation. I use these on my boat because after 5 months of winter layup moisture enters the gas tank and contaminates the fuel. These filters are worth the extra expense they can save you from buying a replacement filter just by draining off the contaminates should the engine begin to stall in the spring.I have been using 3123 NAPA GOLD filters for 22 years now. You can get several years out of one of these filters.

Good drain to remove water
Good replacement filter with water drain extends life a little longer and you can check for water or contamination without taking off the filter
