Works good, Installed in minutes. My front diff would not engage. I didn't know if it was the 400 or the 401 valve. Mounting bracket that comes with the 401 made up my mind. That bracket is like the one you get from Ford. I would recommend replacing Dorman 600-400 at the same time.

1998 F150 5.4l Four-Wheel Drive Solenoid
This was the fix for my Four-Wheel Drive. YouTube has videos on how to diagnose. Make sure the keyed connector on your truck matches the connector on the solenoid. Some are keyed on the bottom, some on the side. This one fit my truck perfectly.

Minor connector fit issue, but works great
Used this to replace a failed air valve for my F150's front hub actuator. The electrical connector on my 2001 didn't fit this at first, as there was a plastic keyway on one or the other that prevented insertion. A quick removal of that tab with a dremel, and tada the connector fit and the valved worked great.

This part fixed my F150
Heard a strange noise from under the hood when the motor was taxed a little bit, but not when it was on a flat. I replaced this solenoid and a vacuum valve and the problem went away. Dealer wanted to replace the hub lockers and charge me $1200. Glad I tried this first.

Only worked intermittently out of the box. 97 Ford F150 4x4
These solenoid valves did not have sufficient pull to open the vacuum to my vacuum actuator. They show they are getting power from signal but did not work to supply vacuum. Replaced with Motorcraft OEM which worked just fine.
