Vandoren SR6125 Alto Sax V.12 Reeds Strength 2.5; Box of 10

My son is a Sax player and swears by the Vandoren reeds. He uses a variety of different ones depending on his instrument, but always purchases the Vandoren brand. He says they have the best sound, are most durable, and an affordable price. We have looked at these reeds at many stores and distributors, but always end up purchasing from Amazon for the best price. For any musician, these are the best product for the money!

After months and months of looking for an ideal set up, I came across these reeds. The Vandoren line up in general has always been the standard but the V12s exceed those standards by miles. Right out of the box most, if not all, reeds are playable and responsive. They allow for a deep low register and free speaking upper register with impeccable tone in the altissimo range of the horn. I have been using these reeds as my daily drivers for a couple of months now and I couldn't be any happier.

Really solid reeds. Helps a bit with intonation and response in lower and altisimo registers.

Wonderful reeds. Wonderful response all around. I usually play a size 3 Vandoren Blue Box, and these reeds run about half a size harder. I ordered a size 2.5 box and they feel like a size 3 blue box. Very dark, concert-like tone and overall perfect reed.

Although everyone has their own preference for the numerous reeds available, by far after years of trying different versions for different music, the V 12 has proven to be our high school student's favorite for great concert sound. Hasn't tried it for jazz so we can't comment on that. Enjoy!!

Great tone. I found these reeds to be hard for me at first, but I will adjust over time. Great tone and subtone, and upper register as well. Easy expression and vibrato. Great for classical definitely. A nice step up in tone from the traditional Vandorens.

No se si fue por el lote, pero solo me salieron como 3 cañas buenas, las demás sonaban muy mal y no eran muy maleables aunque las usaras constantemente

Ich würde die Blätter gern besser bewerten, allerdings habe ich einfach zu viele unbrauchbare Blätter in jeder Box. Ca. 4-6 von 10 sind Schrott.
