Ted Lapidus Rumba Passion Women Eau De Toilette Spray, 3.33 Ounce

I missed this fragrance when it first came out by Balenciaga. I'm so glad that I decided to give it a try now under Ted Lapidus.I have more than 60 bottles of fragrance: designer, vintage, Middle Eastern. I prefer florals, orientals and chypres but don't care for gourmands unless they are floral gourmands. I'm not a huge fan of light, skin scents or fruity scent profiles.Rumba is a classic chypre which means it has citruses, patchouli, animalic musks, woody notes and usually a very earthy note like oakmoss.Rumba is a beautiful composition. The citrus hugs the cedar and patchouli which gives both notes a lemony vibe. While the musk is animalic it isn't as strong as what you find in some of the more aromatic chypres and popular fragrances of the 20th century.There is no sweetness anywhere in Rumba. By today's standards it would probably be described as masculine leaning. But to those of us of a certain age, this fragrance oozes sultry femininity.It's a gorgeous scent that I have been wearing almost daily since I received it. I normally wear a different fragrance every day so that I don't become nose blind to it. But Rumba stays fragrant for me. Which means it's likely strong and loud for most people.If you are young and enjoy today's foodie gourmands or light, "clean girl" scents, Rumba is not for you. But if you like Chanel no. 5, Clinique Aromatic Elixir or Paloma Picasso, you will enjoy this woody, earthy beauty.

My mother in law love it

This may be the best value in perfume, period. This smells far more expensive & complex than other perfumes in this price range. No one would ever guess it’s under twenty bucks.It actually smells like something your rich aunt or grandma would wear. There’s something about it which is dated and feels very late 80’s/early ‘90’s… The chicks on Dynasty probably wore perfumes like this.I don’t hate it, but it’s not a love for me & I do lean toward spicy orientals. There’s some powder in this & also an element which smells like cheap fabric softener to me & those two things ruin it for me. Too bad, because there are other notes in this which could be great.

LEGALIZED THEFT? These were absolutely worthless. Not one of the sprayers will work. Except for breaking the container, there is no way to get any of the perfume to use. These were Christmas gifts which certainly served to dampen(figuratively since no liquid would come out of any of the bottles to get anything damp) the festivities. I was very embarrassed to give gifts that were totally useless. These were the worst gifts I had ever given anyone in my life. I wish I could give it 0 stars because they are not worth any stars or any money. BUYER BE VERY AWARE IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT BUYING ANYTHING FROM THESE GARBAGE DEALERS!!!!!!!!!!!
