Q: What's maximum temperature of this filter? Is it safe to use after water heater heated @125°F?

This is a Sediment filter. We have well water and used it clean the water BEFORE it hits the Softenter. It is placed on water line between the Well water (coming into house) and the Softener.

Q: Does this filter make the water safe to drink?

I don’t know how to determine safe. However it does remove sulfur smell that other filters don’t. The carbon block is the only one I’ve found that does this.

Q: Does it remove chlorine?

We have a well. Our plumber said it’s to remove sediment

Q: Will this work with the ao smith sediment filter system for ao-wh-prel-rp filters?

We use it to replace our Whole house water filter every 6 mo. It fits into a filter compartment connected on the water pipe that runs between Well & the Softener
