Compact, simple to use, and I like the adjustable dimmer on the display. Basic. The display is very large as well.

I absolutely LOVE this clock. I got the RGB-Black model and the color-changing numbers are fantastic. My old alarm clock broke, and I'm so happy to have found this one. The dimmer is perfect - I keep mine set at level 2 out of 5, and I turn it off completely at night. Even with the numbers off, if you touch the top of the clock it lights back up for 20 seconds. Perfect for the middle of the night. The volume on the alarm is also customizable and no longer startles the heck out of me in the morning. It keeps perfect time, and is now so easy to see from across the room. I couldn't be happier!

Overall, this is a decent clock. The batteries last a very long time. It’s easy to adjust the time or change the alarm. The clock is very accurate. The display is large and easy to read, even from across the room. The green display color is bright enough to read clearly, even in the dark. But the green light is soothing and not activating the way white or red light might be. As a result, I can take a quick glance at the clock if I wake up during the middle of the night without the light waking me up further. This clock is also small and lightweight so it would be great for traveling with.

The display is easy to see in bright light and a dark room with several brightness settings. The instructions are not very comprehensive or clear; I had difficulty getting it to go to a brighter setting after I accidentally turned the brightness down to the lowest setting. Otherwise it’s a good clock.

I live in Houston, where power failures are basically a tradition. Thunderstorm = no power, for at least a couple minutes. Which meant resetting my clock (and microwave & everything else) several times a week in rainy weather. But not any longer! This clock takes up very little space but the digits are 2" high and readable from across the room, even with my 80-year-old eyes. (I got the red version but there are several other options.) Thee are 4 levels of brightness so it's easy to find one you like. Note that it's not battery *operated*, though -- that battery acts as a UPS for at least a few minutes and saves your various settings until the power comes back, which is really all I needed. Not at all expensive, either. Well recommended

I purchased my first DreamSky digital clock in 2021. I bought this one for the same reasons that I am satisfied by my first one. The illumination packs a lot of punch on the higher settings making it possible for me to read the time from a distance without having to put on prescription glasses. On the other hand, I can easily reduce the brightness at night so that my sleep is undisturbed. The compact size is perfect and the different color options are just icing on the cake.

This has been my nightstand clock for 8 months as I post this review. I like that it has a much smaller footprint AND much bigger numerals than my previous alarm clock, which had also gotten very dim over the years. My eyes aren't as good, either, as they were when I bought the previous one, but with this one, I can very easily read the time in the middle of the night without glasses -- or during the day, across the room, although I keep my bedroom rather dark. The display has a nice brightness range, and as I recall, I turned it down almost to the dimmest setting. Green was my color choice, as I find it very relaxing and a little unusual.I rarely use the alarm feature; I just wanted something that was easier to see. So although the alarm sound is a bit harsh for my preference, it doesn't matter to me.I wasn't sure I'd use the extra USB port (the one not used to power the clock). But I do, every night, to charge my smartphone, just making sure to block notifications and calls. For what it's worth, the phone's display says "Charging rapidly," unlike with the USB port on a few other devices I own. I leave the charging wire plugged into the clock all the time, to have one less connection to make.Setting the time and alarm time is pretty intuitive, and the instructions were helpful for my first time or two. And there are clear markings on the back, for when those instructions are inevitably lost.I tested the battery backup (along with all other features) when the clock first arrived, and it held the time as promised, though it can't *display* the time while the power is out. (They are upfront about that in the instructions). I put two new alkaline AAA batteries in it when I received it, and haven't had to replace them. I'm guessing they'll last a couple of years.The clock is very lightweight, but I can move the phone charging cord around without inadvertently moving the clock. A stiffer cord might be a bit trickier, if that's a concern to anyone.My only complaint, a small one, is that the unit I received is very slightly fast, based on a glance at my smartphone's time display each day. I don't assume every unit produced is exactly the same. Although I don't have specific numbers, I would guestimate that it gains about 10 seconds a month. So in half a year, when it's time (in many parts of the world) to reset anyway, due to Daylight Saving Time, it might only be a minute off. I was going to give the clock only 4 stars for that reason alone, but as I think about it, it's not even bad enough to take one star away. I have a DVR clock that *loses* closer to a *minute* a month. But this may be more critical for some people than it is for me -- retired!Overall, very pleased.
