I would call this a medium size cream pitcher. It’s good looking— very well designed.

The pitcher itself is beautiful and well made. The problem is the confusing description, and in the end I didn't get a pitcher that matched the measurements. I knew this was a risk after reading the reviews, but I thought it would match one of the measurements. The pitcher I got was 5" H at the highest point x 6 3/4" from tip to handle x3 1/2" W. It holds 1 3 /4 cups of water, which is more than .5 pints but less than 48 fluid ounces they claimed elsewhere. As I'm using this for sponge bathing, it is functional enough.

I had this pitcher for several years, in celadon green...but then I broke it. Really pleased I could replace it and it is so much less money than the original it replaced! I love this pitcher! Milk, cream, syrup....perfect@

I love the size and weight of this pitcher. My ember mug does not hold all of the coffee from my Keurig so I have the pitcher hold the coffee and pour it in my ember mug as needed.

I wanted a good quality, classic, slightly retro, small pitcher and this fit the bill perfectly! I prefer this size (which is basically 1 cup/8 oz) to the tinier versions on Amazon. I bought this for my husband to use to froth up some milk for coffee in the morning, but I can use this for more than one thing and it's exactly what I was looking for!

It's beautiful but too big for my purpose. I really was looking for about 8 oz capacity. Filled to the top this will be quite a bit over 12 oz. I won't return it because it is nice and I got it on sale. But am disappointed about the product description.

I ordered the "small" which is advertised as holding 8 fluid oz = 0.5 pint. The pitcher that came holds 12 oz easily, and 16 oz if filled almost to the brim. Which is much larger than advertised. It is 5" tall, and 6.25" wide as measured from spout to handle. This is too large for a cream pitcher. 8 oz would have been perfect. This 12-16 oz size would be good for gravy or sauce. Debating whether to return since it is not as advertised. It's no wonder so many reviewers are commenting on unexpected sizing.
