great flavor
Ordered this after having it at a restaurant in California. It is a smooth, fruity olive oil, rather than smoky or peppery. It seems to have "vanilla-like" undertones. Loved it enough to seek it out when I returned home to the east coast. Great for dipping, pour-overs, salad dressings - not for cooking.

very good, very reasonable
I cant claim to be an expert, just someone who likes good evoo at a good price. I decided to quit Italians that I have no idea how long have been on the shelf when I buy them and try some homebrew. I like this one a lot.

Worth a taste (nice)
I have been introduced into olive oil mania. I love to cook with it. I am new to the whole experience. I have done my research and only want quality oils because I am aware of the saturated market of imposters and frauds. I have bought many different oils and tried them out with reasonable success and some failures of course. You have to sift through the imposters with knowledge and take chances also. I took a chance on this and am pleased with its mild fruity flavor with a hint of pepper at the end. I would classify this brand as my first great tasting oil yet. While I was doing taste test I wanted to drink it like a fine wine. I know there are many more to explore but I would recommend putting this on your list to try and possibly continue to use. California grown olives that produce this oil is recommended highly from me. I have tried many imports with some satisfaction. But I am thinking your chance of getting true extra virgin olive oil is right here in the USA. Corto is on my A list. Word of knowledge: Go to a store(reputable one) where you can taste test their oils. You will be able to set the bar for others.

good not great
Every once in a while I stumble on an OMG fantastic olive oil. This is not one of those. However, it is very nice; sort of B+/A-. The packaging was perfect nd delivery fine. I will keep looking for the oil to knock my socks off.

The BEST Olive Oil on Amazon
Great flavor. One of my favorites on Amazon. I use a lot of Olive Oil and this one is always fresh, cloudy like it should be and shipped fast.Update: On my 4th bottle: ran out and bought some Olive Oil at the local market and I can tell you that Corto is by far the best tasting EVOO I have used. I won't run out again. This brand has a completely different taste. It has a little spicy kick to it when it hits the back of your throat like good Olive Oil should. I don't get that with most other brands. It is always fresh when it arrives. Can't say enough good about this product.

Just ask the chef
One of my favorite restaurants, Echo & Rigg, serve avacado toast on the weekends. I tried to duplicate their recipe which is.quite simple, toasted bread, sliced avacado, olive oil drizzzled on top. I never enjoyed it at home and realized my olive oil s just weren't smooth and buttery like the restaurants. After asking my server what olive oil the chef used she informed me he only used Corto. After receiving my order of Corto Extra Virgin Oil, I was able to replicate the recipe at home. I use it for everything and have been very satisfied ...

One of the best rated.. price should not be a concern
Anyone on here complaining about the high price of this oil better do research. You definitely get what you pay for !! ( remember that ) and the fridge test is a joke, do not solely rely on this. Fakes solidify because of cheap waxy bad oils added. When you invest in liquid gold..DO RESEARCH. cheap is crap, the real stuff smells heavenly, and has a peppery taste. This is highly rated. There are others that are authentic. Please do research... especially if you are doing it for health reasons...

mild yet not overly processed
Corto is what is used at the best Italian restaurant in Sarasota, FL and I fell in love with it! Mild, but with a beautiful deep green color that is characteristic of the best olive oils. Amazon's price is good, the shipping is fast, and every time I pour it and see the beautiful color and taste its mild yet fresh "olivey" taste, I wonder why anyone would buy bland yellow refined oil in the supermarket. Also, the fact it comes from California is a big plus, for CA has a strict olive oil quality assurance program, so you know it's as pure as it claims to be, unlike many imported oils.
